Price-quality-ratio was surprisingly bad

Polite staff.

I was in this hotel several years ago and was exited yo visit it again. It's a cosy villa in a quite district. Our booking was for two nights, the overall price was around 660. This is quite high even for Strasbourg for these dates. Unfortunately, this time the price-quality-ratio was bad. First, we were allocated in the room num. 9. It is a damp-smelling semi-basement room without a nice view. We asked for another room. The only available option was the room num. 1 (right after the main door). It was a downgrade compared to the booked room. The room is small and noisy in the morning, the furniture layout could be better. There was no bathtub or shower, just a drain in the floor. And the floor in the bathroom was VERY cold. We decided to move out. Booking.com helped negotiate with the hotel to cancel the reservation for the second night free of charge. But, despite of the room downgrade, the price for the first night remaind unchanged, ca. 340. The receptionist was very nice and suggested a free breakfast for 2 persons. The breakfast costs around 20 pro person, but definitely doesn't worth it.

Room was good - clean nothing to say Breakfast was fine I guess a bit expensive 22 as far as I remember but choices not crazy The area very quiet BUT sadly if you have people staying in another room next to yours .. better hope they will be quiet too (not whats happened during my stay) The overall stay was good ! Staff very friendly and helpful !

Disappointing

The personnel was forthcoming and attempted to assist after initially being reluctant. Near the orangerie park.

I was put in a basement although the room description said city view, the air in the room was moist and it had a bit of a moody scent. I saw the ground outside my window, and the air filter could not be turned off by me, only by the personnel. The heating was not working and it was the end of November with snow. After informing the staff, they fixed it after two days. In the meantime, I used the hair dryer to keep myself warm. Bad options at the restaurant.

Superb

Look better in booking than the real.

Very clean, good breakfast, very good service, quiet.

I stayed in a room in the attic, The mirror in the bath was at an angle and it is difficult to shave, the shower and other corners in the room are also a hazard. You need a helmet so you don't get hurt in the head. The photo in booking dont reflect the size of the room.

Great staff. The overall is great very good design.Beautiful building. Just a hotel boutique.

No lift : ( No options for breakfast, just a coffe adking fir a favour. I cant understand you cant hace a breakfast no buffet in a 4 stars hotel.

I'm overall impressed with how accomodating the staff were at Boutique hotel Des XV. The hotel location was in a nice residential area and within short walking to the park. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Superb

A Beautiful Old Mansion

We had a lovely, well decorated room with a large adjoining balcony. The room wasnt very big but it was very functional and comfortable. The hotel is an old mansion with a wonderful wooden staircase and stain glass windows. It is located in the consulate/embassy area of town which seems very residential. The breakfast room was bright and inviting. The staff couldnt have been nicer or more helpful when it came to helping us choose restaurants

Everything was great but be advised that the city of Strasbourg is about 15 minutes away by car. There are also buses that will take you into town.
