Wonderful!

We had a lovely experience at The Retreat. The staff were friendly and even though there was a delay with our room being ready but the manager apologized directly and gave a complimentary bottle of bubbles which was well received. We were always given priority for reservations, tastings etc because we were Retreat guests which was appreciated. The natural pool was beautiful! The shuttle down to the estate was great and easy to get and we had such a wonderful driver Derek - thank you!

It was all great, we dont have any suggestions for improvement

A dream stay!

We loved absolutely everything about our farm retreat cottage! The long road leading up to the secluded cottages. Trendy and tasteful furniture and decoration everywhere. Two small but perfect bedrooms with superb mattresses and two nice en-suite bathrooms. Morning and evening terrace both sides of the cottage, surrounded by birds and (small) wild life. Fully-equipped kitchen, fresh milk, braai materials. The breakfast options were varied and everything tasted delicious. The natural swimming pool, garden and sunbeds were to die for! Wish I had had more time to explore the grounds but we were there for a wedding :-)

Gorgeous orchard cottages

Orchard cottages are lovely. The welcome basket super thoughtful. The cottage literally had everything you could want, even a clothes steamer and 2 types of coffee maker!! Gorgeous views. A really lovely treat. Breakfast at the Werf was amazing if a little slow.

The peacocks woke us up at 4.30am and kept calling. Perhaps some earplugs would be another nice touch. Also not the cottage itself but the food and the Deli was disappointing and service lacking considering the prestigious nature of the estate. Otherwise everything was great.

Very good

It was really amazing and we enjoyed it, views are beautiful and it was peaceful.

The restaurant was good and location was amazing. Just very limited for choice and we werent able to purchase wine by the glass which was rather disappointing.

The cottage was neat upon arrival however I did not feel like the room was cleaned neatly during our stay.

What a treat to find this beautiful place .

Everything!! What a wonderful stay. We stayed in the retreat cottage. Beautifully decorated and furnished and very comfortable. Lovely bedrooms with en-suite. Loved the soap and lotions. Great views from the deck. Breakfast was delicious, many choices hot and cold on the buffet. The staff were all so very friendly and helpful. We felt very spoilt with the basket of goodies in our cottage. We ate at the Deli, it was such a lovely experience. Great food and staff. Really a special place to stay, would love to return for longer as we didnt get to explore the farm. Thank you !

The most amazing stay with the best servicing team.

The service - Funi is remarkable and her team of ladies are the most service orientated group we have ever experienced. Night market was amazing and wine tasting was remarkable.

The breakfast preparation - 2nd day chef was a bit standoffish and not very relatable. Portions were catered to our count - but would recommend have excess in case of additional guests - would totally pay for additional guests - but was disappointed that food was limited. We had additional guests and Funi was so accommodating in ordering more food for us from the farm store - Funi to the rescue as always.
