Clean rooms, great food and a peaceful environment

Staff were a little excessive with their guarding. They also locked us out by 12am so if you have late activities to get back in might be an issue

My stay was overall satisfactory though I didnt really spend a full day because I arrived late and had to leave few hou

I absolutely didnt like the meal, it was horrible and very expensive. It was the most salty food Ive ever tasted in my life and even with my hunger I struggled and couldnt finish the meal.

Okay.

I really liked the staff. I slept out one night and William, the guard there, was worried because I didn't let him know. That was sweet. Adeola, the receptionist, was also kind enough to pause a planned generator maintenance session for my Zoom meeting. I enjoyed the breakfast of soft-boiled yams and egg sauce. I liked the ambience of the hallway too. And to be honest, it was one of the cheapest hotels I found close to the airport.

So, this is not exactly a hotel. It's a lodge, at best, with 5 small rooms. And it felt wrong that no sign outside states that Blackwood is a Bar AND a lodge. The sign only states it's a bar. Transparency is important, I think. The room was fairly spacious, although I think for such a small facility, the curtains, for example, could be better maintained. The television could do with many more channels and the Wifi router probably needs to be moved closer to the rooms. And some incense, or other welcoming fragrance in the room would have boosted my experience.
