A beautiful property, tastefully decorated, with stunning views throughout.

The property is a self-catering home and breakfast does not apply. The home itself as well as the location is exceptional. The property is spacious and the decor is beautiful. It has all the amenities one would expect in a modern home, such as dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, as well as smeg appliances and hairdryers throughout. The bedrooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bathrooms are clean. The common areas such as kitchen, lounge and dining room is spacious and large. The surrounding garden is beautiful.

The property reminded me a bit of a celebrity attending a red-carpet event, wearing a Versace dress, but with torn and dirty underwear. The outer was stunning, but once you looked beneath there were many flaws. There were chipped mugs in the kitchen, cracked candle holders in the lounge, hair in the drawers in one of the bedrooms, a loose shower head in one of the bathrooms, a towel that was stained by bleach and used as a shower mat, and a gas grill that had not been cleaned in months. We actually had to clean it ourselves just so we could put our meat on it. The blinds in the main bedroom could not close, which was fine because it had curtains, but a problem if you are light sensitive and find it hard to sleep. The hand lotion dispensers in the bathrooms were empty and not refilled, some dispenses were only a quarter filled. The containers of bath salts were all empty and not even cleaned. Check out is at 10am, but the cleaners arrived at 08h45, just walked into the home while we were having breakfast. Had this property applied to be listed on Airbnb, it would never have made the criteria, due to their high standards. This property is definitely due for a maintenance upgrade.

Good

The house is spectacular. Beautiful sea views from all bedrooms and entertainment areas. Lawrence who was our host was extremely helpful and easily accessible. Always informative and very friendly.

The neighbors. We had police at our doorstep, DAYTIME during a rugby match. Apparently attending to noise disturbance, police officer was just as surprised as we were when he arrived as he only found a group watching the rugby. Then there was an alleged fight reported at 3am when everyone in the house was sleeping since 1am. Did seem like a bit of profiling since we were a group of young Black people and the neighbourhood is predominately White.
