Very poor

Just don't!!!

We paid for extras and was expecting to have a bath in the room. Instead we had to be moved as there was no lift and I was unable to go up two flights of stairs. We were moved into a cupboard! Sorry the smallest room ever. Staff in the restaurant were very nice but reception staff were rude and un friendly.

The evening meals were lovely the waitress was very nice.

Disappointing

Noisy heating system significantly disrupted sleep.

Spacious room. Hotel seemed well looked after on surface.

The radiator in the room was very noisy making it impossible to sleep. Initial inquiry to receptions/porter told us heating would go off and noise would stop. It did not. Second night porter helped us move room where there was still noise but it was quieter. Noted with receptionist in morning who seemed to indicate we were lucky that we were not being charged for the second room. I was astonished. I thought a refund of some kind was in order. The issue very much impacted on our sleep on the next day of our break. Not impressed with staff customer service.

Superb

Quiet city location

Quiet location for such a large city. We booked late in the evening after we got stuck in a snow storm so couldn't make it to our intended accommodation. We didn't arrive to this accommodation until almost midnight, but they were ready and waiting for us on arrival.

It was cheap. Can't expect much for the money. Staff polite.

Room needed a refurb...wallpaper hanging off, bathroom floor tiles all cracked, shower cold and door jams. Lamp flashed like strobe Beer not fresh, pipes need cleaned, bar food awful and overpriced, no atmosphere in lounge area. Breakfast...no meat or cheese, no pastries, no fresh rolls, tinned fruit... Have to pay on top for the swimming pool. Wouldn't use again. But as I say, was cheap. You get what you pay for

Rough and smells

The bed was comfortable the room unfortunately was close to the kitchen or fans and we could smell the cooking going on at 5/6am for frying.

Very good

Hotel was clean and tidy, staff were pleasant, food was hot and fresh. I would stay again.

Good basic choice for breakfast, hot, fresh and replenished as needed. Hotel was clean and tidy. Good swimming pool with steam room, sauna and hot tub. Lots of parking. Good basic choice of hot food in the restaurant if you are looking for gourmet or world class this is not the place to choose, but as a basic with a good choice of hot fresh food it was very good. I learned that you can get cocktails on draft, I wasn't brave enough to try one but maybe oneday. Good value for money.

Wish the guy on reception had made it clear to my son in law that he was taking the payment from his account, as I had booked the rooms and I was supposed to pay for them, that really really irked me. Seeing as they had my card details on record there was absolutely no need to do that. Actually it really annoyed me.
