Gem in the middle of Stellenbosch

Pefect location as it is 50m from the town but in a very quiet street. Room is big and the bathroom is special.

Breakfast was great and served in our room. Temba is an excellent host. Very obliging and polite and helpful with luggage. Helpful in every respect. A delight

Gorgeous hotel and great value for money.

Beautiful rooms, especially bathrooms with generous size showers. Clean linen and great service from staff especially Temba.

One of our rooms was not close to the other two.

Superb

I've stayed at Batavia twice now and we will look to again on our next trip.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They parked and pulled out our car for us and assisted with our luggage. They helped us make plans every day and served us a delicious breakfast. The one-way street is very quiet despite being so close to bars and restaurants in the heart of Stellenbosch.

The electrical outlet on my side of the bed didn't hold my plug very tightly so it was sometimes difficult to charge my phone. The other one worked fine, though.

Homely and personal touch excellence.

Location is great. It's close to the hub of Stellenbosch but also quiet at the same time. Security and parking are good.

Breakfast is too late, it's only from 8am. For guests playing golf or going on excursions the starting time should be 7am.

Just a few things you guys need to look at. Cleanliness not up to boutique standards. Old half full ice tea bottle left on bathroom vanity, probably previous guest. Toilet seat broken. Rust marks on duvet cover
