- The apartment was more spacious than expected. - Great view of the mountains from the balcony - Pickup and drop-off service from the station at the start and end of the stay was a welcome addition

- When making a reservation for Apartments Kirchbhl through booking.com or other travel sites, you do not get informed that the booking is without any service. You also don't get the option of including service when making the reservation on booking.com. I only found out about this halfway through my stay. As the booking was without service, they did not offer fresh towels or clean the room for the duration of my stay which was 10 nights. The terms of the booking are also not clear about this.Basically, you think you have booked a serviced apartment, but it actually does not include any service - They charge a CHF 300 deposit on arrival which is burried in the small print and say that it will be returned after 3-6 weeks after from the checkout date - this is buried in the small print of the terms and conditions. - Since I had booked a stay for 10 nights, not having towels replaced was very inconvenient. They also only provided two sets of towels when I checked in. I found this very bizarre as most hotels/service apartments provide enough fresh towels, which should last the duration of the stay, and also give you the option for requesting more free of charge if required. I had to pay CHF 5 to get a pair of fresh towels mid way through my stay. My issue is not with the CHF 5 fee for new towels it is just that I only found out about this mid way through my stay when I called the reception desk enquiring why I did not get any new towels. The towels they provide are also of not good quality. They seemed to have washed and reused many times over for ages, which made they not very soft to use.

Breathaking view, great apartment/hotel

The view in our room was absolutely breathtaking! The apartment was clean, very cosy and has everything you need. The location was accessible and bus stop was only 5 mins away. Theres also a shuttle pick up available to and from the hotel, needs booking. Lastly, the staff were friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend and would come back in the future.

The entrance road leading up to the hotel was dark. I would recommend to bring some flashlights torch. But its not really a dislike.

Overall its a pleasant stay with friendly owners and beautiful and magnificient views surrounded by mountains . Hotel owners are helpful in arranging transfers for all 20 of us and our luggages..fetching and sending us to n from the train station. Apts are cleaned with complete kitchenette and utensils .

We checked in with a family of 20pax . We had requested for apts near each other and was told that we were just within minutes walking from each other apt . Upon checked in ..it was heavy snow and 2 of the apts were situated up on the hill, and with huge luggages, we had to climb up 3 stairs and even walked up the hill . And every time we go out..we had to walk a very long way down the sloppy snow and there is no shortcuts to walk through .. travelling with most elderly adults, the apts that was given was very very inconvenience, far up on the hill and a very long walk in heavy snow .. and this had made them stayed indoors throughout the stay .

Amazing views

We stayed in the economic room and the view is stunning from the balcony. The studio has all the amenities that you need and is a cosy place. The shortcut to the center of Grindelwald is a path through the hills with amazing views on the mountains. Be aware also that on some parts the path can be a little steep, but manageable.

When selecting this booking, it is mentioned that the appartements are 4 stars, but the villa we stayed in had 3 stars. It didn't say anywhere that the economy room will be on the 3 stars villa, so I payed for the 4 stars and received 3. This is just a mention that I didn't find anywhere in the previous reviews and I would have liked to received the number of stars that I payed for.

We loved Grindelwald and would hope to return in the future.

The view from the apartment is breathtaking.

We couldn't get bus transportation after 6:30 pm from downtown to the apartment . Most of the restaurants in the area serve dinner after 6 pm so we had to walk up the hill which is not an easy hike or use a taxi which was costly for a few minutes drive.

The layout of the apt, the huge balcony with a great view. Excellent restaurant at the Kirchbuhl hotel. Friendlyness of the staff.

The schedule of the shuttle. We had to leave at 6h30 am and the shuttle was only available after 7:30. The walk down the steep hill in quasidarkness with backpack and suitcase was a little difficult.
