Very good

A different fun type of travel

This was a really fun traveling experience, once. I am a little too tall for the beds (6'1/ 185 cm) but it was a really different type of travel. I should add that I was only there for a night in transit.

Good location and concept - Could easily be improved

Location is good. Showers and bathrooms are nice and fairly well maintained.

Check-in for the person in front of us took 20 minutes for some reason. For example, they need to streamline the process. We had to pay an extra Cancun fee and get a copy of a photo id as well as give an orientation. Not sure why these things couldn't be done prior. Payment in general is done prior. Photo Id could be shared electronically. And the orientation could be done via YouTube. When I'm checking in, I want to get in. The pods are an interesting concept. However, they are executed wrong in my opinion. None of them should touch. The ones above should be sitting on their own platform. The ones to the side just need a space of a few inches. Instead, they are all touching. So, when there is any kind of motion, it ripples through all the other pods. The doors are spring loaded so when you use your key they slide open. This is neat but it creates a lot of noise and again you can feel other people's door sliding open and hitting the other end. The air-conditioning control is an air flow control valve like in an airplane. So, you don't really have control over the temperature and don't really know what the changes will do to the actual temperature.

Great place to stay and great value.

Place is nice, novel, interesting and mostly clean.

Unfortunately the fact that the restrooms are very close to the entrance to the locker room area makes it easy for the bathroom smell to reach this common area. The good thing is that they clean the restrooms very often and its not a big bother.

A nice hideout for a night or two

It's good for a short stay or If you spend all day out and coming back to sleep at night . It's also a good value for the money. Location is very central excellent.

Limited breakfast options , but plenty places to eat close by.

Awesome stay, but wear warm clothes to bed.

The space was cute, cosy and comfortable. The mattress was very soft and the whole experience was quite relaxing. Everyone in the area was respectful and it was very quiet. Staff were very helpful with taxis and the breakfast was simple, but fresh and good.

The temperature was set very low and there didn't seem to be a way of changing it (you could only turn the aircon up or down, not change the temperature).. Within an hour and a half inside I was freezing and had to put on track pants and a jacket. There was only a thin sheet. A bit annoyingly, your bag and belongings are in a locker in another room, so it's not super easy to grab things if you decide you want one. The pods aren't very soundproof, but people were quiet. It was still a great experience.

The staff were very helpful and the place was kept clean. We loved the free breakfast, WiFi, coffee and tea.

It was very inconvenient to be away from our belongings in the locker. If we forgot something, we had to keep crawling out of the capsule and going back to the locker areas. The people above us were also having sex and also loud getting up and down and in and out of the capsule.

Creative experience

I'm an American, but I have visited Japan. Japanese people administer rules differently than Americans. The intent is to help, educate and provide safety and to help people from climbing over each other. Americans like to hurt and punish. Japanese rules can even be given with respect or humor. Do not be afraid of this place because they are Japanese rules, not American rules. Sometimes, Japanese people get it right! Also, this is more than just a place to stay. It is like a museum, so you get an experience, included. Like a 2 4 1 deal. Asian customer service doesn't discriminate based on social class, like American customer service. I think poor people are still Okyaku sama (honorable customer), just like rich people.
