Stressful for a spa resort

The room was very nice, clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, the facilities were nicely designed.

We stayed in this hotel during the New Years Eve, which ended up being a horrible experience, because of the party that the hotel hosted on that night. Basically from 19:30 to 3:00 am there was a lot of noise and loud music, which did not allow us to sleep. The staff of the hotel was nice enough to warn us about this party right on the day of the party itself by putting a letter under our door (not even telling us in person). Of course, by that moment we had already paid without knowing anything about this, if not we would not have stayed there. Besides, the staff in general seemed a bit incompetent and lost. They would constantly readdress our requests to someone else on the phone, keeping us waiting and without clear answers. Not recommended.

Very chilled stay in stylishly authentic & peaceful surroundings

We liked the stylish design of the hotel . We were upgraded to suites & our rooms were huge & the bathroom amazing - especially the sunken polished concrete bath ! The outdoor space is very chic & peaceful. The garden & pool areas are wonderful. Really delicious breakfast & helpful staff .

Weirdest check out ever

Good location, clean room, didn't get to use the pool as it was raining when I stayed but it looked good.

Now this is where the score card gets a knocking. I handed the keys back to the desk when I checked out.. they basically told me I couldn't leave the hotel until they checked the room which I've never in my years of staying in hotels etc. have I ever been held against my will for a room check. Also whilst I was told to wait I was then presented with a board with a qr code on it, they then proceeded to try and force me to leave a good review via the qr code. This has instantly put me off ever returning, if I ever return to Sri Lanka in the future.

We had a wonderful short stay at hotel !Staff was so welcoming and help us with currency exchange and other queries ! Breakfast was good ! Indian breakfast was available .We had pizza and ginger beer for dinner !Pizza was good and if you srilanka ginger beer is must try! Bathroom is clean and spacious

Great staff, excellent location

Superb staff (from front desk, to housekeeping to the restaurant/lounge)- felt very welcomed. The location is also great with many good restaurants and shops around. Beds were very comfortable which is great for longer stays

Rooms facing the road are a little loud, but the insulation in the room is good.

Superb

Wecloming hotel in good location

Very friendly and attentive staff, quck check-in/out, good restaurant and good alternatives nearby, water bottles in room generously replenished daily, small but nice pool, cozy atmosphere, attractive design.

Operating light switches in room confusing, cockroach in bathroom (which was quickly removed though), hotel is on a busy street so some rooms may be noisy during daytime.

Disappointing

Not worth wastage of money.

This property focus on only making money not making customer happy.

We booked 2 nights, however we had to leave after one night as we finished earlier than expected. We planed to go another city and we asked the hotel is it possible to refund some and leve one day earlier. Atleast half payment and to cancel one night. They said it is not possible we didnt say anything cause we understood it little bit. But on top of that they have charged us early checking $20 because we arrived 3 hours early. They did not compensate this also when we decide to leave early. No visitors are allowed. We bought some jewelries asked shop people to deliver that to our room. But from the reception they stopped delivery boy and said you are not allowed to go. And we spoked to receptionist and asked him to bring item to our room. But Receptionist refused and said they cant deliver we have to come down reception to collect it. When we are on the bed with our pijamas we had to put clothes on and to go to collect it. Basically they cant deliver or bring anything to the room and no one is allowed to come for delivery too. Property is old and the furnitures are not nice to look since white cushions are already with black stain. For the pictures it look nice. Staff are very unfriendly and we felt the service and stay was not worth for money. The worst stay in our life.
