A good and unique stay experience in Colombo with a few points to improve on.

The property is unique and has ample of space to accommodate a big family like ours with seniors and children too. The rooms are spacious and comfortable making your stay here delightfully relaxing. They also accommodated our early morning arrival time by providing us with whichever room was free and ready so that we could atleast have some place to rest and keep our bags.

As much as the place is good for your next stay - the jacuzzi in the room was not functional, the wash basins need upgrading or plumbing as water does not recede soon and in many places within the WiFi would not work. Though many of the staff were kind, smiling and attentive many were not informed and also quite confused about details and requests. Example: At the limited breakfast service the server said we could order only eggs and no sides and along with this when we asked for coffees or teas along with the breakfast he said you have already had one and it is not allowed and I will charge you for it. The previous set of teas was ordered separately as part of the room service earlier in the morning. He ended up bringing randomly some sausages and hash browns which we did not want or order. Also no one will pick up the landline when calling from outside on the numbers mentioned and we called to arrange for things more than a few hours and finally had to arrive from our flight and ring the bell a few times and wake up the security and receptionist in the middle of the night when we arrived.

Loved it here

Loved my stay here. I was here for 11 nights and it felt like home at the end. The staff were so friendly, helpful and attentive. The first room I was given was noisy, so they moved me to one at the front of the building - I really appreciated this since I was there for a long stay. The Japanese restaurant is fabulous. I ate there several times, It's a little pricey by Colombo standards but great food and service.

There was nothing to dislike apart from the noisy room I started in. It was near the restaurant so lots of clattering of plates etc. Be sure to ask for a quiet room.

Great space just ask them to check all the facilities when you check-in

i liked the room layout and the spaciousness of it all. I think that its great value for money and its located in a very nice place of Colombo.

I asked for a room with a jacuzzi and while it had one it simply didn't work. I think had that have been present this would have been a 10 for me vs an 8.

Good hotel in a convenient location, walking distance to a bank, supermarkets and a few restaurants.

The breakfast was nice but not as plentiful as in other places we stayed in, in Sri Lanka. Staff were very friendly. We had an issue with our shower the first night and it was promptly resolved in a relatively short space of time. Room was very spacious and nice, and our private balcony was almost as big as the room. Was great to actually have a restaurant there which we ate at on the first night, a Japanese rooftop restaurant, the food was really good. (Almost every other place we stayed in Sri Lanka said it had a restaurant on the premises but it turned out to be the eating area where you ate breakfast.)

I didn't see it but my husband went for a swim the second morning and he stated that it didn't look very clean on the bottom.

Superb

The Zylan staff really are exceptional. They know what good service is about - very high standards.

Breakfast was good, Service attentive. The staff were also quite flexible about times which was something that I really appreciated. Sri Lankan omelette delicious.

If I had one criticism quality of bread - possible to make their own and I'd do this. The kind of clientele that visit the hotel would really appreciate this gesture.
