Pathetic Experience.
When we shared our concerns on a whatsapp group chat with them, nobody cared to reply back, instead after few hours someone from tour management called me and my fellow female tra (Read More)vellers in person to threaten about not posting any comments about the tour company on social platforms. His tone was very rude and unprofessional (felt like local gunda's giving us dhamki).
So here I'm posting a detailed review about my Nepal tour experience.
It was a miserable & distressful group tour experience. We'd been to 5N6D Nepal trip with them on 25thDec'23
From day 1 till day 6 we observed poor management in terms of itinerary. Once they received the balanced money just before starting the trip from Gorakhpur station, their behaviour got changed.
First of all the trip itself started late by 4hours, but the tour management was only interested in collecting the balance amount from the group members and was giving fake promises of completing the intinerary on time. They asked us to wait there in the bus at the same spot for more than 3 hours until other group members joined.
The bus condition provided was not at all comfortable considering long journeys and terrific road conditions in Nepal. We travelled all around the Nepal at an average speed of (20-25km/hr).
Moreover the driver's behaviour was rude and uncomfortable towards femal travellers. He used to ask us to come to hotel by a walk or by other public transport after dropping us at last sightseeing of the day in the late evening.
(Because of this, one of the ladies from our group faced verbal harassment by the local Nepalis on the streets of chitwan while walking back to hotel after dinner)
For the same reason we were expecting an onoard group leader/guide who could manage such situations but it was not provided and we were left along with just a driver.
Secondly there was no proper coordination among the trip manager, driver & the other group members. Which in turn affected the entire itinerary since day-1. They mixed-up people from all age groups in one trip & because each one has their own different priorities it was difficult to manage.
Few group members were might not aware that they were on a bagpack group tour and not on a leisure 4-Dham yatra trip.
They were not at all interested in exploring places/monunents, enjoying the vibes and not a single adventure activity. Every sightseeing was literally visited on touch and go basis. Those so called fellow "travellers" spoiled our entire Nepal group trip.
Chitwan itinerary was a total flop and literally wasted our 2 whole days. Instead we could have covered more interesting places nearby Kathmandu and done some adventurous activities.
As per itinerary, we missed the late afternoon safari on day-5 due to delayed morning breakfast facility provided by hotel where we stayed in Kathmandu and thereafter poor transport facilty provided to reach chitwan on time.
When we asked to reschedule the safari on day-6 morning, they forced us to do it early morning 6am (despite we denied). The reason being few of our highly unenthusiastic fellow group "travellers" had a return journey train on the same day, which actually spoiled our entire chitwan itinerary. We had to skip rest of the sightseeing from the itinerary (elephant ride, elephant breeding centre, etc.) just because of these selfish people in the group. Personal agendas of such people shouldn't be fulfilled by tour management which affects group itinerary.
It was a worst jungle safari I ever had (compared to Indian safaris), which was 30mins amidst the dark and foggy forest reserve and 2 hours of villege walkthrough. When we confronted chitwan hotel manager about the safari experience he started shouting on us and was on the urge of physical fight.
Most importantly, Nepali people are very disrespectful towards Indians, so ideally tour management should support and cooperate with Indian tourists and not their Nepali tie-ups.
I won't recommend any of my friends and families to go on a Nepal trip with "Swaminarayan Pashupatinath Yatra (Opc pvt. ltd.)"
