October to February are the best months to visit Champaner Pavagadh, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Temperature ranges between 12-degree Celsius to 29-degree Celsius with clear blue skies and pleasant weather. However, the summers here are scorching. The temperatures are excruciating, reaching up to 44 degrees. The winters are relatively cooler with the days having an average temperature of 26 degrees while the nights are as cool as 9 degrees.
Champaner-Pavagadh in Winter (November - February)
Temperatures drop down to 15 degrees C or less when winter is at peak, in January. This is the best time to visit the heritage park as the weather is the most comfortable during these months, the sky is clear with no chance of a downpour. The only downside in visiting in winter is that the park closes at sunset and sun sets early in winters. That being said, thanks to the lovely weather, you can take a tour of the park even at peak afternoon. Champaner-Pavagadh in Monsoon (July - October)
Monsoon may not be the ideal time to visit Champaner-Pavagadh, but if you are looking for discounts and offers on your stay, this is the time you should head over. The first showers cool down the temperatures, and the smell of wet earth in the park is blissful. Rains in Gujarat are frequent but short-lived. Champaner-Pavagadh in Summer (March - June)
Gujarat has hot and sunny weather throughout the year, and it only gets worse during summer, when temperatures soar to 41 degrees C at times. Taking a stroll at the site to look at magnificent forts and architectural structures in the unbearable heat wouldn't be the right choice. Thus, a visit to Champaner-Pavagadh should be avoided during summer. However, if you do visit during these months, make sure to pack a lot of sunscreens and try staying indoors in the afternoon.
