Kumara Pravatha Trek is one of my bucket list. I have never done any trekking before KP. This was my first trek with group of know and unknown people . The difficulty level of Trek is difficult if you are begginers like me . From Kukke to Buttermane , the trek route is very difficult but after that the route is amazing , surrounded by scenic beauty , golden colour grasses , cold breeze of wind. Truly amazing. Overall experience amazing and special thank to Danni , our trek coordinator. He was very nice and caring to everyone . He made sure that his group people would not left behind or face any kind of difficulty.

"This is certainly an enthralling experience which you don't want to miss!! This was the first trek with my wifey and were excited for it.\nWe wanted to make this special as we didn't really want to go just sight seeing to random cities for our first anniversary. And luckily this was exactly what we got.\nThe trek is going to immerse you in the lush greenery and will get you in sync with nature. It will be a challenge as a first timer, as it will test your physical and mental fortitude. Make sure that you have enough energy drinks and hydrate regularly and wear good trekking shoes with a good grip. \nWe came across some streams to cool off. \nOnce you reach the peak you will get the most scenic and exhilarating view of the place which makes it all worth it.\nWe returned back to the home stay and had good food near the bonfire, which was perfect for the chilling weather :)\nThe next day we visited the golden temple which is beautiful and of course we ended it all with dancing in the bus on the way back ;)\nBut the one thing I would like to appreciate the most is the team, Shahid and Avinash who were helpful, supportive and took care of us till the end. Shahid also surprised us with an anniversary cake which we never expected and made it all so personal and special. I commend the team for their vision in making us feel like we are part of a family and make it more of a community than a group of strangers.. I will definitely recommend this experience to the thrill seekers and hope to do it again someday. Cheers!!"

Went Kumara Parvatha trek mid November 2018. Based on my experience of other treks, it was one of the greenest and cleanest trekking experience. We hiked through the non-traditional route which is shorter but steeper (approx. 16 kms to & fro). The climate was very soothing which made the journey comfortable and could enjoy the scenery. Next day while returning to Bangalore, we visited the Golden Temple / Namdroling Monastery which is a beautiful and peaceful place. Shopping experience was nice as the prices were not exagerrated here and friendly attitude. Overall it was a nice cherishable experience!

One of the beautiful trails in Karnataka. We started our ascend from Somwarpet side. Fairly 70-80% of the trail is under forest cover and there are a couple of small streams to quench your thirst. 3 steep inclinations near the peak were quiet enthralling. We were lucky enough to spot few neela kurinji bushes on the peak. Guide, Home stay and food were awesome. kudos to the operator for a wonderful trip.

Certainly an awesome trek. Anyone interested in trekking or looking towards it should visit Kumar Parvath. I had visited trek during January, but sadly the grass had turned yellowish (something I did not expect) and the sun was shining brightly. Hence felt a little tired during the ascend. I believe the best time to visit is during the rains itself (I am already planning once more during aug-sept times :D). The base camp facilities were decent. The night sky is completely mesmerizing, one will surely get lost in the stars and galaxies. Over all "TOO AWESOME" place to visit.

"From the start till the end, it was a wonderful experience. The food was simple, the tents and sleeping bags kept us warm and the atmosphere was magical. The only suggestion I'd like to give is to verify the itinerary because there were a few discrepancies for this trip. "

Highly recommend this trip.... 1.The Shola Ecosystem, endemic to the Western Ghats is a sight to behold.Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is a wonderful place to liaison with nature. 2.The trek is challenging.....Ur grit will be put to test through and through.Nevertheless, even beginners can confidently step in as the guides (Habeeb and Wish) are well trained personnel and will help you in every way possible. 3.No doubt the view at the summit is breathtaking but the journey is equally rewarding.Lose yourself in the wild....it's definitely a catharsis!! 4.Feel at home homestay with simple and delicious coorgi cuisine ,campfire and courteous and friendly team of organizers. 5.To top it all,Wish is an amazing singer.....U cannot ask for more...:):)

Went for this trek on 19th Jan'18. Great trek, with some sublime trails beneath forest canopies. The trek is best suited for the post-monsoon season, it seems, for all but two streams had run dry and the vegetation at the top had turned bare or yellow at most places. Backpackers United, the trek organisers, are not your run-of-the-mill commercialized tour operators. They actually enjoy this and Habeeb and his gang will go out of their way to make the trek fun! The homestay is amazing, both in terms of accommodation as well as the very location of the place itself. Lastly, the food is delicious!

One of the good but difficult trekking spots of Karnataka. The resting place available is about half way at Bhattaramane. Starting point is behind the Kukke Subrahmanya temple. We had gone in a group of 20 people aged 6 to 66 years. All family members. On the way you come across, Kallu Mantapa, Shesha Parvatha and then Kumara Parvatha we enjoyed a well diversified trek with my family and friends.
