Enjoy a merry banana boat ride at Kothad, an island surrounded by the river Periyar, which is the longest river of Kerala, and is 10 km away from Kochi. The backwaters where the activity is conducted is composed of a meandering network of interconnected channels, lagoons, and lakes.
The boat ride would begin at 3:30 pm, with a brief introduction on safety aspects to be followed while you are in the water. You would be kitted out in buoyancy vests before proceeding for the joyride in the winding backwaters with tall coconut trees standing on both shores.
Sit on an inflatable boat similar to the shape of a banana. This boat will be connected to a speed boat that drives it through the waters and during the ride, the driver of the powered boat will attempt to toss the banana boat upside-down by making sharp turns. Photographs and videos of you riding the boat and then splashing in the water will be taken by staff supporting you on the trip.
