## Day 1 First Glimpse of Bhutan

- One hour to Thimphu

## Day 2 Thimphu Valley

- Memorial Chorten/Stupa
- Buddha Dordenma
- Bhutan Postal Museum

- Weekend Centenary Farmers Market
- Takin Preserve
- Tashi Chho Dzong (Fortress of Splendid Religion)
- Dragon King of Bhutan

## Day 3 Thimphu - Wangdue - Gangtey and Phobijika Valley

- Drive to Gangtey and Phobijika Valleys - 5 hours
- Dochula Pass
- 108 chortens/stupa
- Lamperi Botanical Garden
- Chime Lhakhang (Fertility Temple)
- Visit Gangtey, Phobijika and surrounding villages

## Day 4 Gangtey to Punakha

- Gangtey Monastery
- Gangtey Nature Trail - 2 hours hike

- Drive to Punakha - 2 hours
- Visit local villages and interact with villagers
## Day 5 Punakha Valley Excursion

- Breakfast overlooking Nyeshakha and Wangdue Dzong
- Visit Nyeshay Gekha
- Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten - 2 hours leisure hike
- Punakha Dzong (Palace of Great Bliss)
- Longest iron bridge in Bhutan
- Nunnery
- Valley stroll and visit local markets

## Day 6 Punakha - Thimphu - Paro

- 3 hour drive to Thimphu
- Dochula Pass
- Semtokha Dzong (Fortress Atop a Demon)
- Drive to Paro
- Tachogang Lhakhang
- Visit traditional farmhouse
- Traditional hot stone bath
- Traditional bhutanese dinner
## Day 7 Tiger's Nest

- 3 hour hike up to Tiger's Nest
- 2 hour hike down
- Ponies available for rent - payable onsite to pony owners (about USD15 halfway uphill)
- Kyichu Lhakhang
- Visit local handicraft shops

## Day 8 End of Tour

- Have breakfast at hotel
- Check out and depart for airport
