Oklahoma, USA

Oklahoma is a state where buffaloes, art galleries and scenic roads can be found aplenty. The distinct plains, urbane modern museums and the iconic route 66 are only a few of the things that Oklahoma offers to visitors. The film-favourite Route 66 runs across the state of Oklahoma, making it a perfect destination to begin the famed road trip. Although Route 66 goes from Chicago to Los Angeles, a large proportion cuts diagonally through the state of Oklahoma. Roadside attractions along with the route range from the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum in Clinton to the Blue Whale of Catoosa or Golden Driller in Tulsa.

Oklahoma is also known for the Philbrook Museum of Art which include works from Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. Its diverse and ethnically rich art collection has a great international scope. Another place of history and architecture is the Marland Estate Mansion that dates back to 1928. The grand structure contains 55 rooms, all of which are ripe with history. Another attraction in Tulsa is the Oklahoma Aquarium which is famous for having the world's most number of bullhead sharks. The aquarium also has exhibits called Extreme Fishes, Sea Turtle Island, EcoZone, and Polynesian Reef, all of which successfully displays the colourful biodiversity of the ocean and sea.

Stretching across 15 acres, Myriad Botanical Gardens has access to walking paths, a large lawn, and a small lake. With a children's park as well as a dog park, it also provides the perfect environment for a family outing. The park has a Tropical Wet Zone and the Tropical Dry Zone as well as a desert plant area. There are more than 750 species of plants surrounding a waterfall and a bridge.

The Crystal Bridge Conservatory is also an integral part of the scenic park. The state of Oklahoma guarantees a picturesque view of nature, guarantees a deep perspective on history and architecture as well as is the best spot in the United States of America for a road trip.
