One of the biggest parks in Bangkok, the Rot Fai park is a vast piece of land which used to be a golf course. With a few gentle hills and lush green trees, this picturesque park is perfect to get away from the city crowds. Rot Fai Park in Bangkok is a vast area of 150 acres, full of lush green and interesting flora and fauna. Formerly, the area was used as a golf course by the State Railway but later it was converted into this beautiful park consisting of cycling tracks, picnic spot, a butterfly park, a Buddha Garden, a swimming pool, a boating lake, a children’s golf course, a camping site for students, a botanical garden and numerous fun and exciting activities like, tennis, basketball, petanque, sepak takraw, kayaking etc. The park also preserves old steam engines and carriages as heritage relics.

How to Reach Rot Fai Park

Rot Fai park is located near the very famous Chatuchak Market and the JJ mall in Kamphaeng Phet 3 Road. The easiest and most convenient way to get there is by taking the BTS to Mo chit station or MRT to Chatuchak Park station. From these stations hop on a motorbike taxi, which will take 10 minutes to reach the park. You can also opt to walk. From Mo Chit station, exit 1 can take you to the Kamphaeng Road crossing, from there the park is a 15 minutes’ walk. And from Chatuchak Park station, exit 1 and 2 can take you to Kamphaeng Road Crossing, from there the park is a 15 minutes' walk as well.

Rot Fai Park can be termed as a wonderful family destination. People can be seen sitting under the misty shade of the gigantic trees, enjoying a picnic or just relaxing. Children can have a fun time engaging the various activities in the park. Even if they are not trying out the activities, they can just run and play around experiencing mother nature at its best.
