There are numerous options to get around the city on your travels. Buses are the most used, as they cover a large network of routes throughout the city and are also inexpensive. The train services within the city are not exceptional, and have only 4 lines so far, namely the Southern, Onehunga, Western and Eastern. Auckland is pretty easily explored by car. There are plenty of car rental options in the city, offering all sorts of cars from the lower to the higher price bracket. Commuting via taxi is an easy option too. You will not find yourself arguing over prices as most taxi drivers follow the meter prices. Apps can be booked via phone or simply hailed from the street. Ferry services are also an integral part of Auckland's public transport, connecting the mainland with the islands nearby.
