Summer months, starting from March till May in the Andaman and Nicobar Island are sweltering and humid. The temperature during the summers ranges from 25 to 35 Degree Celsius. The monsoon season begins from June and ends in September. The rain showers received by the island could be moderate to heavy. Starting from October till February, the winter season sets in. The temperature during winter ranges from 20 to 30 Degree Celsius. This is the best time to visit Stewart Island Beach when one can explore the nearby areas and unwind on a lovely holiday.

Reaching Stewart Island Beach

To reach Stewart Island Beach, one can opt for the ferry service from Mayabunder till the beach. The ideal time to start for the beach is early morning and get back to your hotel by sunset. The ride takes approximately one hour to reach the narrow yet long beach. If you are interested in flying to the Stewart Island beach, then the nearest airport is the Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair which is well connected with an elaborate network of roads from all the major cities such as Kolkata and Mumbai. The beach is situated at a distance of 150 km away from Port Blair.

Nearby attractions are the Neil Island, Mud Volcano, Chidiya Tapu, Ross and Smith Island, Long Island, Radhanagar Beach, Diglipur, Vijaynagar Beach, Baratang Island. For photographers, Chidiya Tapu (220 km) is worth a visit as you will encounter numerous migratory birds here which are worth capturing. 
 
Radhanagar beach (300 km) is famous as the 8th most beautiful beaches and therefore, visiting here is recommended to relax and admire the gorgeous shoreline. 79 km away is the largest town of Andaman, Diglipur, where you can visit the Ram Nagar Beach and observe the rare phenomenon of turtle nesting. 
 
Baratang Island is another popular tourist attraction which is 128 km away. Mud volcanoes, mangrove creeks, tranquil beaches, Parrot Island and limestone caves are some of the sights worth seeing when you are visiting the Baratang Island. Mud volcanoes or Jalki, as referred by the locals, erupts occasionally and the last time was in 2005 which is believed to be triggered by the tragic 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake.
