Nothing short of a nightmare

Nothing at all felt good at the property. Starting from the checkin to checkout. The staff is rude and non coperative. The hygiene and the cleanliness in around the property is awful. The bedsheets arent clean and torn. The rooftoop is extremly stingy. The kitchen upstairs is mostly closed and has very limited options. On being a little late for checkout they behaved as if we were staying there for free. Zostel @ tapovan is to be strictly avoided.

Worst experience.

Nothing

Wifi connectivity is very bad. Room is not clean and building is not well maintained, spider webs everywhere, wall painting is peeling off. Water is not easily available, cans are empty and some cans are without lids, so water is not clean when filled. Food was not even average, there is better food at Bistro Nirvana nearby. Worst experience with roommates, they probably drank in common space on 3rd floor but came to room... making too loud noises and smoking inside room. They went on talking loudly until 3am with lights on. These dorm beds don't even have curtains, so it was very very uncomfortable to sleep. Staff doesn't seem to concern themselves with anything as long as they get fully booked. Though had to stay more days in Rishikesh, moving out from zostel realising that may be hype is not real. Hope this review helps someone like me from not falling for the hype. I am a frequent traveller and I have stayed in many hostels, this is one of my worst experiences.

Old and not well maintained

The location is fine, good view from the top and common room. The guys at reception are helpful.

Old linen, not as clean as you would expect from Zostel. Bathroom tap leaking. Old and worn out furniture, mats, quilt covers. The bedside light was not working. Don't recommend

Very Bad Experience

Very Bad Service. Mr Yogesh The Receptionist didnt had any manners of communicating with a guest too. Very unhelpful Very Rude. Do not prefer going to this hostel.
