The staff/personnel, service, cleaning, hygiene, location were awesome.

-price/performance ratio could be better since this was the most expensive hotel in our sri lanka tour (about x2) -we had an issue with closing time: this was not informed to us in the check-in. When we tried to go and grab something to eat to city center at 9.30 pm all gates were locked and we were initially not allowed to leave the house - which made us think we were in a prison :) When we contacted the owner he informed us on the closing time of 11 pm for the first time which was a huge surprise for us and then he condescended to extend it to 11.30 pm which still gave us not much to go eat and come back. So we had to do all this in a rush which is very unpleasant in a holiday season as you might imagine. If we were informed on this rule in advance this would obviously not be an issue at all - respect to house rules by all means. Anyways this was a bad experience for us. If you consider to book here, keep in mind that you're strictly not allowed to go out and in after the closing time.

Beautiful property in Kandy. The room was very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Real value for money. Everything was exceptionally clean! The breakfast was very good. We felt very good here and would definitely come back when in Kandy again. The hosts were very kind, thank you!

Wonderful stay in beautiful Kandy

The word that comes to mind is classy. Beautifully appointed comfortable room. Impeccably clean. The balcony has a view of the garden and surrounding hills. Wifi was the best we had in Sri Lanka. Good location within walking distance to town and a few temples. Gracious and helpful hosts.Look no further!

We really enjoyed our stay in Windy ridges Kandy. The house is very confortabile and with a n authentic design. We felt like home. The owner helped us with advices about our trip. There are very beautiful views over Kandy. The breakfast was very nice and very complete. The room has a nice balcony and is the morning is was very pleasant to go outside. Wonderfully comfortable and well equipped room.

The host was knowledgable, the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was excelllent, the accommodation was very safe/secure, great views, comfy bed, good mosquito net and air con provided.

Senaka and his wife run a lovely bed and breakfast, which is really comfortable, clean and big rooms. The breakfast is great. They are very kind, warm people and from Kandy so have a huge local knowledge. We had an amazing time staying at Windy Ridge.

Very comfortable place to stay

It was great to have a spacious room with view to the lovely garden. A hot shower with good water pressure! The hosts are very accommodating and on the second morning I received a Sri Lankan breakfast which I loved. Much better than western breakfast!!!! The hotel is close to the city and just around the corner from the white Buddah. Everything is within walking distance. If you dont like walking back up the hill there are plenty of Tuktuks in town.

Beautiful stylish perfect value for money accommodation

Very well decorated and stylish building, just outside of the buzz of the centre but very central. We took pickme's/tuktuks to go and come back which was not expensive at all. Owner was very helpful, breakfast was good and we got a to go breakfast for on the train as well which was very nice. Bed was excellent, best bedsheets we had. Overall would definitely recommend and come back.
