Some reviewers found the owners/managers rude and breakfast served a little late at Windmills Rest. However, the rooms were described as beautiful but with stained sheets. The view in the morning was (Read More) great. Many extra charges made the place affordable if you don't need all the extras. Overall, the place was lovely and neat with spacious rooms. Check-in was only at 2 p.m. Some rooms had a giant bathroom but no shower. Nearby activities included Stoetbul. The owners and staff were helpful and welcoming. It's a great place for a getaway, with clean and spacious rooms. The owners were exceptional hosts and the presence of a generator was appreciated.

Great over all stay, with the friendliest most helpful staff ..

The place was nice, the owner waited for us on Friday because we had requested a late check in due to some circumstances. We had no mishaps, we chose a self catering option. They had most utensils needed for a self catering option.. The lady that helped clean for us Christina if Im correct , WoW .. she is the Best ... I cant talk about Abraham Ohh my word,,he helped us make a fire .. brought umbrellas for us .. My word the staff were on point.

I think our unit the toilet needs a deep clean, and also if they can put a toilet spray in the toilet.. Towels were enough .

Excellent Facility and Friendly host

Rooms are even better in person. Comfortable beds and quality bedding. There's also WiFi. Definitely excellent value for money.

Rooms have convection stoves. Pots are provided but can be a bit small if there's a lot of you. Otherwise all good!

overall, it was good

we did not have breakfast, but the location is nice. The staff and host were very help full.

that you have to buy the bath soap and shampoo at the reception we only notice at night when we came back for the wedding at twelve and got up very early to go home that is 2 hours from there so we all shower with water only
