What can I say? A beautiful venue, a hard horrible bed due to age. Tell them that the most importan
The setting is beautiful and we have stayed here many times over 3 decades. The beds NEED replacing as soon as possible. There is basically nothing to watch on TV. Put on YouTube and we can decide what to watch.
Breakfast used to be excellent before many items have been removed , pastries are awful and mostly added sweet stuff added. Hosted 12 family members for afternoon tea and cakes outside which was magnificent the lady doing the organising was wonderful and thorough and I was very confident and hopeful the execution was half hearted and all over the place, pretty hopeless actually. For a hotel with such a reputation very disappointing. I did a cooking class there one time, it was memorable and excellent. The worst part of our stay on checkout was that I did not pay for the afternoon teas cakes, the lady organising this would have been embarrassed as she specifically asked me to pay for the cakes beforehand which I did as there was no problem here. On checking out they insisted that I had not payed. We even showed them on my IPad that I had payed with Visa but this was not good enough for the management . They said they would check with her and get back to me, I am still waiting.I am not impressed.
