The room was OK and the location was ideal, right in the heart of Madrid and within walking distance to all main attractions. Breakfast had a variety of options.

The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were horrendous. There were too many of them, and they were too high, making it difficult to sleep. Additionally, there is street noise that can be heard and chilly air coming in due to the poorly isolated windows. We were extremely disappointed that the hotel did not provide a proper New Year's Eve dinner in the restaurant. Instead, they only offered a cold menu option that included fish. The dinner was delivered to our room early in the afternoon with no possibility of refrigeration, which made it unappetizing. Unfortunately, it was the only option available in the area, and finding a restaurant to book a dinner was extremely difficult. We had requested a taxi on our first day and reminded the staff around 3 other times, but they missed booking it when we checked out. Even though they apologized, we almost missed our train because of this. We think that the hotel doesn't meet the full expectations regarding its location, status, and price range.

Superb

Very good, would stay again!

Got a free room upgrade, it was very clean, comfortable and big with a superb location and view over the Gran Via. Very friendly staff.

The plan wasn't working in the room but everywhere else in the hotel.

Fantastic although with some minor additions it could have been better.

The location

There were twin beds only and no options for a double bed. In addition, there was no kettle in the room. At four stars hotels one expects to have a kettle and complimentary instant coffee, tea and creamer.

Location

Rates jumped 100% following day. Did not stay a second night. When asked, receptionist explained in an uncouth manner yea its just like flight tickets, goes up and down.

- Location, location, location. - Safe. - Friendly staff at the front desk (especially the lady with black hair and eyeglasses but I didnt know the name). - A Christmas gift was given to me upon arrival. - I would come back and I highly recommend it. - I extended my stay from 14 December to 24 December.

Im just writing this for improvement: - Lobby has 2 chairs only. - No duvet cover for the bed! When I asked I was given a blanket. - The floor wasnt clean when I had the room however I didnt ask for a housekeeper during my stay (personal preference). - No iron in the room and when I asked for it I waited for more than half an hour but no one came and I had to remind them 3 times till I got bored and cancelled it. Neither iron nor apologies were provided! - I asked for a scissor but they told me to come and borrow it from the front desk! - No coffeemaker.
