Superb

Excellent all round!

This is such a lovely guest house, we loved our stay here. Our room was fantastic, spacious and super comfortable. We had the suit at the top of the building so had a private seating area with magnificent views (and a peacock display most mornings!) The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. We had a wonderful breakfast served in the courtyard garden each morning. The location is perfect too, right in the hub of the fort. Amazing!

We only had 2 nights there!

The junior suite was very spacious, clean and private on the top floor. We enjoyed the views from the roof and the excellent location in the heart of Galle Fort

Great Location.Friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast.

Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Strong coffee. Delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. Generous portions. Best mango I ever had. Nice to watch the birds in the courtyard over breakfast. You can get western breakfast too. Simple clean room with air conditioning, comfortable bed, overhead fan, small fridge, kettle, desk, couch, and well equipped ensuite bathroom. We didn't figure out the hot water but a cool shower was very refreshing. AC was set to 26 and that was comfortable. Excellent location in the old fort. Town was busy so we're glad we booked well in advance. Good value for the area:-) We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Everything was perfectly acceptable and a great intro for our first two nights in Sri Lanka. Again the staff were wonderful and helpful with recommendations.

The AC was set at 26 and we couldn't figure out how to change it but we didn't ask either so that's on us.

Very welcoming host, great location and wonderful breakfast. Sitting out in the yard surrounded by plants in the morning whilst having breakfast was a relaxing experience.

Completely different to photos, run down and dirty

Location

Absolutely not at all like photos. Asked them about it and they said oh yes it used to look better before Covid! Very run down, missing many elements listed, large gaps in doors and boarded up windows meant big bugs and mosquitoes were coming in. Dirty, sticky and unpleasant. The Junior Suite with Balcony was a run down concrete slab. No table, no chairs, nothing at all like the photos - which were the reason we booked the place. Just advertise it for what it is! They indicated we were able to cancel our booking until 6pm the day of check in - which means we cannot do a review. Makes us think this has happened a lot and is an easy out for them.

Loved it!

The breakfast (the sri lankan one) was simply amazing. We got 5 fruits (some picked from the garden itself), hoppers, string hoppers, curry, pancakes. The little patio was very cute and pleasant. The location in the fort meant that the tourist sites were within walking distance. The hotel manager was very friendly and helpful. There is a mosquito net. Overall, it was a great place to stay.

The room was a little bit dark due to the dark paint on the wall (especially the bathroom)

Im the heart of fort Galle!

Nice guest house with good breakfast included, in the heart of fort Galle! Staff was very friendly, there was a problem with the room door locker and they fixed it immediately!
