Superb

modern and friendly santa monica hotel with great design and amenities

excellent location, very friendly staff, spacious and beautiful rooms, great outdoor area and very modern and clean gym facility. bike rentals were a great experience too.

there was some traffic noise from the road, but it was not too bad. beds were very soft, so if you are used to firmer mattresses this will not be comfortable.

we shouldve paid more and stayed at Shutters or Casa Del Mar. we will not be back, and I do not recommend.

The Valet and the Concierge were so kind. The location is amazing and the lobby is where they spent all the money for sure, but sad to say that is where the good things end

There are so many things I wanted to love about this property, but not the rooms although remodeled were dingy and fell old the bed was the worst mattress Ive slept on since college. After arriving and having no towels in the room when they were delivered, they were scratchy and seemed old and dingy. There was no information in the room at all. I didnt know if there was room service. I didnt know what was around us. To top it all off they did an annual fire drill at 9:30 in the morning on a Friday. The fire alarm went off 5 to 7 times in a row for 3 to 5 minutes. Each time we were not alerted to the fire drill until the night before but we were already sleeping so we had no idea , just not what you expect when youre paying over $500 a night for a hotel we shouldve paid more and stayed at Shutters or Casa Del Mar. we will not be back, and I do not recommend.

I would stay at The Viceroy when I visit Santa Monica again

The staff were very pleasant from the Front Desk to the Security to Valet. Everyone made our visit that much more enjoyable. Easy walk to the Pier.

I didnt get the exact room that showed in the booking app pictures I got something different such as the bathroom and the sea view there was a palms block the view a little bit. Also when I order from the hotel restaurant to my room they charge the delivery to my room this is over
