Unhappy downgraded my room convincing me it's an upgrade

Nothing staff are rude

I booked a grand suite, at check in Yeyint served me, he downgraded my room to an apartment. The worst thing is he was convincing me his upgrading me as it has a washing machine for free. End of the day it was a downgrade on a lower floor basic flooring it was not a grand suite what I booked. I do not appreciate to be treated in such way as a paying customer. How dare they lie to me! They wanted to make money for New Year's Eve for my grand suite from other customers. They also gave me a broken cot, if you move the cot or touch it a tiny bit it collapses! It's very dangerous and not child friendly. The same guy did not allow us to have a late check out when previously another staff said we can for 300 dirhams. Overall I'm so appalled by the hotel and its staff. They are ruining the hotels reputation.

Noce in terms of what I said above and not nice also in terms of what I said above.

Location is well, we did not eat breakfast at the hotel as we wanted to explore different restaurants. Reception area is nice and clean, reception staff friendly and helpful. Nice views from our room. Our room was homely with nice interior furniture setup.

We stayed for 5 nights but our room was not cleaned, house keeping only made bed, empty bins and change big towels. They did not clean the floor, if the are empty juice container and papers on the table or counter, we will find them there when we came back. Water stains in the table remained there for the entire duration of our stay. Cleanliness of the room was really disappointing and bad.

Location, comfort and size of beds, bathrooms all good

Pool area was very dirty and not cleaned throughout the day, would also be good to provide some washing up liquid and 4 versus 3 sets of plates, bowls etc in the kitchen. Was not clear from the description that there were not cooking facilities, only a microwave.

Very good

Fantastic location if you have a sea view room and want to see all of Dubai's New Year's fireworks from your balcony. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Slightly tired, long waits for the lift, an awful and expensive hotel organised New Years party in the "Sky Lounge" on the top floor of the hotel (avoid).

Overall a good hotel, but not extraordinary

The staff was very helpful. The loby is very beautiful and the breakfast is good. It is near metro station, has a good location. Overall a good hotel, but not extraordinary.

The cleaning could have been better. I was expecting an apartment with a better view because i purchase the most expensive one with a view of the sea, but you could see only from a side and far a bit of water. I don't feel there was much difference between this and a room with city view.
