Very good

it was easy to access the bus to get around LA from this place. James the owner communicated well and provided instructions (make sure you have access to a mobile phone in the US) and was able to answer questions fairly quickly. the other boarders at this place were generally quite friendly and well behaved. the place is kept decently clean by the hardworking cleaners. the house is quite nice and the neighbourhood is very safe and quiet. good value for money.

there are more long term American boarders staying here than travellers but that was OK. the shared bathrooms are always occupied during the mornings. if you had any questions about LA there was no staff to ask but you could ask the boarders, so you need to be independent if you are staying here.

Superb

Nice stay, great value, good location

Best value you can get in LA, as long as youre willing to share a room. A lot of folks are long-term residents (who can blame them with rents as high as they are), so this isnt really a travelers hostel.

Disappointing

Kitchen was big. Bathrooms were nice.

1. Didn't see any staff the two days I was there 2. Sink was full of dirty dishes and people left their pots on the stove 3. No living room space. Only place to sit was dining room table. 4. Other guests did not have any sense of common courtesy...came in the room at 2:30 a.m. and just turned on light and stomped around like it was the middle of the day.

Superb

I found the location to be quite convenient as it was close to a few major attractions in Los Angeles. Access to public transit was also very easy.

The internet speed was a bit slow, but otherwise this place was excellent.

Clean and comfortable. A feeling of a small house.

There is no one to welcome you in the arrival. There are some people that would prefer it. I prefer a nice welcoming.

Kitchen, equipements.

My bedroom was between the kitchen, the bathroom and the washing machines. No need to say that nights were very short. People cooking at 1am, staff working at 7am.... Unable to set the noisy and cold AC. No lockers.

I think that hostel should be out of its business.

I did not expect that the house manager would take $6000 of my money my ex-husband sent him through Zeller. I planned to give the house manager $1000 as commission for his help to deliver $5000 in case to me. I tried to stay in the place till I could live in the homes we paid for with our "quadruple legalized money". The house manager James took $6000 in total and forced me to leave the hostel immediately. He came to force me leave very rudely, saying that if I did not leave immediately, it was trespassing and he wanted to call police. Then he grabbed my travel bag and took it out of my bed room, as if he were ready to throw my luggage out of the house. I would have filed a civil case against him if I had got time. He commented a theft and insulted me very rudely.
