Fire alarm went off at 7am and to get the elevator down from the 8th floor in the morning took 15 minutes due to everyone leaving at the same time and 1 elevator being down.

The hotel made me feel very, very angry.

The parking valet service is excellent. There's a grocery shop that's always closed when you need it. They give free brand-ecchs pod coffee in the rooms, no cream. Hotel is situated near the CNE and Rogers Arena.

Never waited in an hour long plus lineup to check in before. Chinese pilots kept getting service before everyone else, i.e., butting in line. That made me late for my event. Carpets in rooms are threadbare and old. Furniture is cracked and worn out. In the shower they removed the soap dish so I couldn't even use my own soap without it falling. They put 3 large liquid bottles on the wall which get in your way you when you're showering. They did this so that you can't take the hotel soaps home anymore, it seems like. They don't have all night room-service anymore, you have to order in or go to Subway if you're hungry and they don't even print the menu on a card, you have to scan a QR code to see it. All the food options are grody health food, organic-kale-pancakes type nonsense and no comfort food. They don't give a breakfast sheet for your door. Room was set to 70 degrees even though it's winter, and when I turned up the heat it seemed like air conditioning was still on somehow, it never got warm. If you're a Chinese communist you probably already know about this place.

It was tough

The gentleman at the concierge desk was absolutely amazing!

I booked 4 rooms and gave names for each room but they still couldn't check in until I got there. Our rooms weren't together. Generally check in was difficult and after the names that corresponded with each room were all wrong. We ate at the restaurant (I will admit we were a group of 11). The food was meh, I had the pizza I'm guessing it was a frozen item that was just heated in the oven. Drink orders were all over the place. A lot of construction that was poorly advertised, the bathrooms at the West end of the lobby were out of service, some sort of sign pointing to the other washrooms would have been nice. Valet was helpful and prompt.

Exceptional

The Westin is amazing.

The room was excellent, I enjoyed the water view. Having access to downtown Toronto was amazing. This was the first time in Toronto. I had a great trip.

I did not like the fact that the hot tub was not working with the jets. Each time I look for a hotel or resort. My number one priority is the hot tub. I like the steam room and sauna, but it could be a little bigger to feel secure.
