Good location. Lovely place. Friendly staff. Great food. Would stay here again even though pricey.

1) Amazing location. Come out of the ticket barriers at JR Universal City station and the hotel is directly on your right while the entrance to Universal City is on your left. The station itself is only 4 stops and 15 minutes away from Osaka station, although you need to switch at the second station. 2) Wonderful staff. We arrived before our booking time after a 3 hour train journey with a sick baby and were desperate to get into our room. The nominal charge if you went to check in early is 2200 yen per hour prior to the check in time at 2 but seeing our distress, the hotel staff only charged us for one hour instead of four and got us into the room within 20 minutes which was pretty amazing given that the previous guest had just vacated. 3) The Skyspa was my first experience with an onsen and it was great. Two hot pools, one with a view of the city skyline, a cold water plunge pool, good locker facilities and a reasonable spread of toiletries. The PJs provided by the hotel were comfy and there was also a comfy waiting room just outside, also with a city view. My wife was similarly impressed with the female onsen. Card access is required for both. 4) Great breakfast spread. I loved the food here as they had so many Japanese options in addition to the quintessential American foods. Anchovies from Wakayama, natto, curry rice and others. Loved it.

1) A bit pricey especially since we paid more just to get a bed just big enough for my wife, baby and myself to sleep in. However this is pretty much the norm for accommodation in any large Japanese city. 2) The laundry facilities adjoin the onsen waiting room on the top floor and they can get very busy especially with only 5 machines. The dryers take a long time and a lot of yen to dry the clothes to something approaching damp, forget dry. The machines could use an upgrade. It also gets very hot in the room which is unfortunate since the ice cream machine is just outside.

Not bad but no excitement with what I pay for the accommodation

Bad front desk experience with the Korean staff Mr. JooHWAN. K. I guess he needs more training before returning to front desk.

Superb

We love the hot spring at the hotel, it's really relaxing. Location of the hotel are really awesome and convenience. Shops and many restaurants close by.

Suggest Japan hotel to take all customer's detail correctly and carefully. We booked our hotel with 4 person, details of 2 children and their age, but when we came to check in, they only have our children age as "0". With children over 14, they then charge you an extra fees. It happens to all other two hotels we had booked in Japan. I don't think it is fair to charge in this way simply due to their careless of customer's detail.

The location is great. It is near to subway line, JR train line & within walking distance to USJ. There are a lot of food options ranging from Japanese to western food nearby. There are also Lawson, 7-11, shops selling local produce, gap store, Universal studio store & craw-machine arcade.

As a premium hotel with Spa, I expect the hotel to provide better amenities. Make up removal, body lotion, shower cap should be provided in Onsen. Instant/drip coffee, tea & hot chocolate packs should be available in hotel rooms. There was a resting area outside Onsen, but the seating area are dirty. 2 out of 3 sofas were soiled with spilled drinks or soup. I stayed there for 4 days & the sofas did not get a thorough cleaning throughout these days hence I did not use the resting area. This matters to me as I book this hotel hoping get a good relaxation. The food variety provided during breakfast is good however the setup of the breakfast area feels more like a canteen. The restaurant is too busy & noisy in the morning.
