Very good

Very welcoming and comfortable stay

Very welcoming reception from Luke who was absolutely lovely. The park view from the bedroom was a great feature.

Ceiling was in need of some repair in the bedroom. However, we were immediately offered an alternative room, but we chose to keep our original room as we preferred the size and the park view.

Lovely little find

Lovely and clean! Luke was lovely & checked us in earlier so we could go exploring. Also gave us a map with some sights to see which were great!

A short distance from town as stated, tram passes can be purchased though which are great to get around Edinburgh

The Warmest Welcome

We have stayed in a variety of hotels over the years, but have never received as warm a welcome as we did from Luke. Very personable with excellent attention to detail. Coffee and biscuits (plus orange juice) were brought up to our room on arrival. Great knowledge of the local area and transport available. The room was large with everything we needed. Incredibly comfy bed, slept the best we had done in a long time.

It was basically fine

It was clean & maintained well & was in a good position to get to town

I found the bed very uncomfortable & after traipsing around the castle all day, I really wanted to sleep. Other rooms may have better beds & my husband didnt seem to have a problem

Disappointing

Disappointing. The price does not match the quality.

Good location near the bus and tram stops, very nice staff.

The key also opened another room and it was not possible to additionally lock the door from the inside. Only 2 large towels instead of 3, uncomfortable and loud bed, problem with the sink and bathrooms door, generally not very clean.
