Amazing location and stuff, cozy design!

We liked pretty much everything! It is an amazing location, not too far from the city but yet remote enough in order to avoid the dust and the noise of Ubud. The views are fantastic! The cat too :)) and the design of our little house was impeccable, really really pretty and cozy! The host and the staff have been extremely welcoming. And the driver Krisna was extremely professional and safe!

We liked almost everything. One thing was disturbing in the dining place: the poor little turtles places in the small container with only 3-5 Liters water at the payment desk close to noise of the kitchen and people, always exposed to unnecessary stress. It is not necessary, tourists do not really need or care about them (some of my friends have not even noticed them), please spare unnecessary animal suffering.

Wonderful experience

The landscape and environment was stunning. Sonu was such a wonderful host. The kids love the outdoor area with all the animals and beautiful garden. The breakfast and food were also really good. Simple but delicious ! The bungalow was very nicely decorated with an authentic Balinese decoration. The outdoor bathroom is mind-blowing!

The rooms was maybe not ideal for a family with very young kids, narrow, steep stairs and no gate on the mezzanine.

Overpriced paradise

The surrounding of the property offers beautiful access and view to flat paddy fields. The bungalow itself was a sight to behold. Stunning interiors with absolutely original local elements. Every corner is a beautiful photo backdrop. The aged wood, the carved pillars and decor, the poster beds with mosquito net, the swings (there are so many of them in the bungalow itself). The BATHROOM! I could spend the entire day there. The domestic animals are fun to look at. The pool is small, but a quick dip is doable. We had all our breakfasts in their cafe, the space was good, the flower decoration was amazing and the food was alright. Love the affinity to nature. The sounds of nature throughout the day and night, the open sky, the rural life around is a wonderful experience. Drag bikes are easily available.

In this trip, we stayed in 4 properties, and this was the most expensive one. Yet, it offered the least comfort and value for money. There is no reception. Concierge service wasn't available after 9pm. So if there is any emergency at night.. Good luck! The lights of the balcony and the treehouse room weren't working. The bathtub drain had a leak so the tub didn't fill up. Basically, the bungalow wasn't readied properly before our check in. Rectifying these issues took a long time. The Wi-Fi is terrible. If it does work, it's extremely slow. With this room tariff, simple things like toiletries, hair dryer, pool slippers and a wider breakfast spread are expected. Unfortunately, nothing of these were provided. There are no air conditioners, and each bed gets 1 floor fan. We were ok with it but afternoons can get warm. If you are returning to the property late at night, all property lights are off. Even the thin trail from the entrance to the bunglow is in pitch darkness. Beware, you might just trample on a large snail. Being eco friendly doesn't mean not offering the basic features and amenities for the basic safety and comfort of the guests. The door hinges need oiling as they are extremely noisy. Enough to wake up your room mates in case you are going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. If they rectify these issues, this eco stay is simply a paradise.

Wonderful staff, looks like the photos but bugs

Wayan and Sonu were amazing host! They were so friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The breakfast they made every day was also amazing!

The bugs and mossies. We knew it was an eco stay but didn't expect sleeping on the second level would still have ants entering our room. Though this is no fault on the staff. It is a joglo in the rice fields and the method the joglos are built results in gaps which allow things to fly into your room. We were also told to keep our doors closed between 6-7pm so that is something that will help. Also note that the place is not accessible by car. It is roughly a 1.5km walk from main road (20mins) but you can access via scooter (Grab is good for AUD$1.60 one way).

What a gem!

Breathtakingly beautiful. We loved how everything was built (asthetically, ecologically) at such a pretty place. We loved the whole staff, so kind and friendly. We would highly recommed this place. We found it by accident and we couldnt have been happier. Thank you everyone and especially the manager, Sonu!

Disappointing

Food was delicious and the gardens were lovely. Staff were super friendly and we loved the sounds and sights of ducks and chooks throughout the food gardens. The area is super quiet with some super cute restaurants and cafes and loads of yoga shala's nearby.

The stairs were so super steep - we felt unsafe/unstable going up and down in the night (bedroom on the top floor, bathroom 2 flights down). The rooms also weren't screened so the mosquitoes were pretty full on in the afternoon/dusk. It was also quite a way out of town, with a narrow walkway/motorbike track which was tricky to navigate - either on foot or on scooter (and we are semi-experienced riders). Definitely need good knees to tackle the stairs and a strong heart to navigate the truck to town. Shame - it's a beautiful place, and the staff were soooo lovely and their home made peanut butter was AMAZING but the logistics were beyond our capabilities.
