Superb

Good location. Excellent food in the restaurant. Everybody was friendly and helpful. Car park with easy access. It was a really nice, well-kept pub/restaurant. Great location for walkers. Easy access to the town. Ideal location if you are visiting the Picturedrome.

Nothing. Could just have done with a few more coffee bags and some biscuits as per all other properties and hotels I have stayed in. So it's not really a dislike.

Fantastic- will visit again!

Great location with lots of lovely walks nearby. Easy to visit Holmfirth- 25 minute walk or short drive. The pub has been renovated beautifully with lots of finishing touches which retain its character and charm but also bring some modern flourishes. Rooms were absolutely spotless with high quality furnishings. Fabulous attention to detail.

Superb

The room was amazing, so cosy, especially with the log fire and the staff couldn't be more helpful!

The food menu for the evening was limited and we were sat by the door and it was very draughty.

Cosy, Comfortable and a great Breakfast

A lovely stay. Nice sized room, We stayed in the Grouse. They had decorated it with Birthday balloons and banners for my partner, after planning ahead. Comfy bed. Lovely little extras for our furry friend. With his own cosy corner, dog bowls and a jar of treats, even his own towel for those wet paws. The breakfast was included and that didnt disappoint. Thank you to Nicholas and Lex for making our stay even more special.

The piping was a little noisy in the bathroom but that made us giggle not annoyed

Enjoyable but questionable value for money

A warm welcome and a comfy room. Bar and restaurant warm and welcoming.

Location is some way outside Holmfirth along a busy and narrow road. Pretty expensive for the accommodation and service supplied.

The Manager was very helpful and friendly. We stayed in the Cottage and it was cosy.

We booked the cottage because we had our dog but unfortunately the back door doesn't open to the courtyard so you can't just leave the door open for your pet you have to take them out of the front door on a lead and through the side gate. Also the shower wasn't great, the pipe was connected properly and water just sprayed all over. These were the only two negatives about the cottage the rest of it was really lovely. We booked in for a meal in the evening and both had pie, unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this, It was so hard you could only eat the middle of it and the pasty round the edges would of broke your teeth, such a shame as we did tell the waiter and nobody came back to apologise he just said thanks for the feedback and the table next to us had pie too and we heard them complain about the same issue.
