Stay at Mesare

The staff at Mesare are the best. They are friendly and accomodating, and will make sure you are well taken care of. The food at the resort is absolutely delicious - I tried both the breakfast and dinner menus. The jungle ambience of the resort is very lush and relaxing.

The resort is located in the centre of Nusa Penida, and is quite far from the well established and well visited areas closer to the harbour. This makes it far away from restaurants, supermarkets and convinience stores. There is a restaurant on site, and one warung about 10 minutes away. However, this isolation might suit those who are looking for a private, relaxing stay.

Disappointing

Loved the room very authentic. Felt like in the middle of the jungle.

Unfortunately lots of geckos making very loud noise in the evening. Its quite far in land in the center of the islands. Roads are dangerous to get to the from and to the hotel. At the end dissappinted about the taxi service, they charged us a private hotel driver but it was a local taxi driver that did not take us to the boat on time and made us walk 10 minutes to the boat when we were about to catch a flight in Bali. Did not get reimbursed the taxi money as was mentioned it would happen.

Great resort!

We loved the location of the resort which is in the middle of the island so you can get to the north or south beaches in the same distance. The pool was amazing and the surrounding jungles as well. Staff was friendly and our bed was comfortable :)

Our room could have used a bit of a deep clean - when we checked in I had a feeling the room was cleaned after the previous guests checked out and there was a space of days between our check in. There was definitely a stale smell in the room as well. The room also had ants which I think its quite normal given the location. And we wish we had teas in the room (there was only coffee).

The pool area is really pretty

I think for a 4star hotel some devices were missing, like a shuttle to the port, since the location was really really far away. We also missed pool and beach towels.

Best view in the middle of the jungle

The villa is in the middle of island, in the jungle, but easy to arrive there by car ( they offer you transfer from port until villa extra charge, but cheap ). The pool and restaurant is very clean, but, the sun is until 15:00 at the pool, so you can not stay more at sun on the villa. Staff can offer you different activities : transfer, rent a scooter, day trip on different location on the island. Resort have also restaurant with the very cheap price for different food. For the breakfast, you can choose on the previous night and in the next morning, the staff will give you very quick breakfast to not spend a lot of time. I didn't try massage, but, last time where i was here, i tried and is very profesional. See you next time!

Maybe, the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner should refill on every day as after 2-3 days you can use it in totally .

Excellent!! Would definitely repeat!!!

The food was delicious, particularly main courses and the rooms were nice and large and the hotel offered many free activities. We did yoga and trekking in the jungle. Shery was amazing with us!!! She ensured that our stay there was a really memorable one. Also great connection for work meetings.

The first night we slept really bad because a gecko was right above our room and made lots ot noise. But solution was great: we were inmediately changed rooms and told that next time we could just call during the night as there is always someone at reception and could have been dealt immediately.
