STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY DURING ANY THE HOLIDAYS IF YOU WANT TO GET SLEEP. We stayed there during New Years and there were parties at the hotel club on Dec 30 and Dec 31. My entire room was vibrating from the loud music blasted from the club The first night it ended at 4am, the second night music was still blasting at 4:30am. When I called to speak with concierge to make a noise complaint, I was told the music was off. Clearly it was not because my room was still vibrating and I would have never called in the first place. The receptionist told me she would look into it. I called back at 4:40am because the music was still on, and asked to speak with the manager. The manager yet again told me the music was off when it wasnt. I went downstairs to speak to the manager directly because clearly my concerns were not being addressed. Both times they lied and told me the music was off and refused to do anything until I said Im not leaving here until the music is off. I get that its New Years Eve and people want to party. But this is almost 5am. We are paying to stay at a 5 star hotel, not a club. You should implement a strict end time as most other countries do. Or if you want to play music all night long, then you should consider investing in some soundproof walls. The way the situation was handled was soo unprofessional and I expect better from a 5 star hotel.

I am compelled to express my profound disappointment with the abysmal service I endured during my recent stay at your so-called establishment, [Hotel Name]. To put it bluntly, my experience was nothing short of a disaster, and I find it necessary to convey my disdain for the incompetence displayed by not only your staff, also hotel overall setup. Room was ok, but the tv and bed height is a absolute mess and misaligned, how someone can watch tv full or half lying on bed if TV isnt in proper height. This is a basic thing which is ignored. Toilet amenities werent sufficient, the shower room door should be closed/opened from either both ways or pull towards not push back coz the shower room isnt spacious, waterflow from faucet was going different direction, and u have antislip mat on the shower floor!! Why you fold it? And every time I have spread on the floor before having shower, and that mat isnt clean and its full of dirt..ewww!! The thing I want to mark as red that after room cleaning, they didnt give/replace toilet paper when I came back hotel at night and requested for it they kept me waiting for more than 45 mins despite of requesting and room service asking me clarification why I need toilet paper!!! This is absolutely absurd and beyond comprehension. Also breakfast selection, food quality taste both breakfast and in house is extremely POOR. I will be sharing my experience on every available review platform to ensure that potential guests are fully aware of the woeful conditions they might encounter at lalit great eastern kolkata. Rest assured; I will discourage anyone I know from subjecting themselves to the torture of staying at your hotel.
