Very good

Lovely spot to relax and great staff and food

Breakfast was very tasty, the staff are all lovely and helpful. The hotel is up a fairly steep hill, we would usually walk down it and find a tuk tuk and sometimes walk up it if a tuk tuk couldn't take us up. Very quiet location not too far from the main streets of Unawatuna

We couldn't really get the Wi-Fi to work too well which is the only issue

All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic. Room is a bit dated but ok

Swimming pool was green after a strong rain storm, and needed some cleaning and chlorification

Very scenic nice place to stay, the hosts were very nice this place was very very clean. Best srilankan breakfast. By far the best place we stayed in Srilanka. Short walk to the beach. Nice breakfast and staff.

The hotel itself had nice facilities, the pool was lovely. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that, but the breakfast area looked nice. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, I wouldnt advise booking the economy double room. The room itself is dark and we were told on the first day that the lights and air conditioning were turned off until 5:30pm meaning for the rest of our stay we didnt return to our room until then as we couldnt do an awful lot in a dark room with no lights. The bathroom was really nice, but had lots of ants. The bed had mosquito nets with a few holes in, so it wasnt the most effective. On the days where we requested the cleaning service for our room, it was not done. Might be worth baring in mind that the hotel is a 40 minute walk to Unawatuna beach/centre, so we did have to get transport there and back everyday. Would have had a really nice stay if we had a different room.

A warm, calm and delightful stay close to nature

We had an amazing stay at the villa for one night! At arrival we were welcomed with a warm smile and some welcome drinks after which Ishan showed us all the rooms and facilities. The rooms were big, clean and insanely comfortable (and the views were equally amazing)! We also had dinner and breakfast made by Thilak, which were absolutely delicious. Thanks to Ishan and Thilak for making the stay worth it!

Peaceful surroundings on hill top

Very peaceful chilled place with a lovely view both sides of the villa. The pool was nice and we had this to ourselves. The room we booked was pool view however was upgraded for free to a suite room 106 which was lovely. A nice balcony looking over the jungle with large bed and single bed in room. TV has some sports channels which we liked as cricket World Cup on. The food was good, we had an evening meal which was noodles and very tasty then breakfast with our staff. I opted for Sri Lankan breakfast which was lovely. Due to location we had to hire a bike and also book tuk tuk to travel which the hotel helped with.

We had an amazing 5 night stay at the horizon hill top Villa. The hotel is beautiful, in a lovely setting amongst the trees. The pool was great to relax around, and the pool house situated next to the pool had everything we needed. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and would always be around as and when required. Cant recommend highly enough.
