The Hide

Extremely overpriced facility. The number of beds available was misstated. As our search definition on Booking-dot-com was for 12 persons (6 adults, 6 children) The Hide was shown in the search results as a suitable accommodation. It was not. In reality there were only 10 beds, so we had to improvise and some had to sleep on cushions on the floor. We had to leave our clothes in suitcases on the floor as there were no wardrobes in the bedrooms. The water tank was outside the window of one of the bedrooms and made noise all night, so it was difficult to sleep in the room. There was no hot water for showering in two (of 3) bathrooms. In all the bathrooms there was no partition between the shower and the toilet, so the toilets were completely wet after showering. The swimming pool area only had two sunbeds, so we had to sunbathe in shifts. There was nothing to enjoy except the swimming pool. In general, there insufficient supplies, eg. plates, glasses and cups only for 6 persons. No basics such as dishtowels, salt / pepper, essentially you have to go the local supermarket to buy the missing essentials. Things you would expect in such a big house for a lot of money, like jacuzzi, sauna, table tennis, pool table, baby football table, basketball hoop etc. were not available. No flyers about highlights and tourist activities in the area, let alone welcome gestures like a fruit plate or chocolate for the kids. The whole place looked like a big farm run by an owner inexperienced in the hospitality business.
