Cavalry - what you see is what you get !! A Great place in Udaipur to stay .

Great place with a profound history, Col. Uday Bhan Singh is an absolute gem of a person. One can have intriguing conversations about this place with Col. Uday Singh ji. KalpShakti Veer the son of Col. Uday Bhan ji is also managing the property and he has always been a great help in our entire stay. The property matches some serious level of hygiene and cleanliness, a treat to watch how they have kept such 150 year old treasure in such a beautiful, authentic state. The father- son camaraderie is amazing and I wish both of them a super success with this homestay venture. Looking forward to comeback here again and send some recommendations as well.

A hospitality masterclass!

Our stay at The Cavalry was extremely comfortable. The process was smooth from the booking to checkout. We were given a room upgrade because of some technical issues with the original booking, which was a pleasant surprise after a long day of driving. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The house has seen many summers and the charm of the home outcrops from under all the new renovations that has been done on the homestay. Col. UBS Ranawat is an amazing company to have. He is nothing like the steorotypical image of an army man. He is the gentlest person you'll come across. We shared his stories of his time in the army and his regiment and missions during a lovely breakfast. His son Kalpshakti was also very helpful in answering all our questions as well as entertaining our requests. I'd highly recommend their homestay for anyone who is traveling to Udaipur and for any number of days.

A place that lingers in your heart long after you've left.

We had the most incredible stay at The Cavalry Abhay Nivas which is a beautiful and well maintained property. Traveling with a 2 year old, we did not feel like we were away from home. The hospitality here is like a warm embrace from a friend. Colonel UdaySingh who owns and manages this place regaled us with tales of his remarkable journey in the armed forces and it was truly a delight interacting with him. Breakfast is home cooked by his wife and each meal felt like a culinary masterpiece prepared with love. You'll savour every bite, trust me !!! Mr.UdaySingh also hooked us up with the local travel contacts who took us around all the important touristy places. It was like having our own personal tour guide to explore the city at our own pace. In conclusion, this is not just a place to stay; Mr.UdaySingh and his family have crafted a haven of hospitality that deserves all the accolades. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this hidden treasure and it's the kind of place that lingers in your heart long after you've left.

Excellent home stay in Udaipur in true sense.

Fantastic facility, well maintained property, rooms, cleanliness and housekeeping -just t well appointed rooms, facility location is close to Pichola lake, Hathi pole and all major tourist destinations. Top of the mark home stay. Moreover, the host is very kind, helpful and welcoming. Personalized service and warmth never gives you a feeling of staying away from your home. This my stay met all the parameters of home -stay. Will rate breakfast 10/10. Warm, tasty, perfact portion, and presentation which makes you very happy and satisfied. I will highly recommend visitors to consider this facility over any others in Udaipur. Comfortable, safe, high quality service, cleanliness and hospitality by Col Ranawat and his staff was top of the line. Am looking forward to staying at this property again, for sure. Thanks Cavalry for hosting us.

Superb

We enjoyed our three nights at The Cavalry. Since the first moment, we felt comfortable. The colonel and his son were welcoming and charming at all times. The curfew hour at night was the only inconvenient we found, though they were flexible in the end. Nice stay in Udaipur!

POOR SERVICE AND POOR FACILITIES

The location is good , the rooms are huge and the bathroom.facilities are not . Good amount of lights .

Never heard a Non-veg thali to be 800 per person. While asking the old man said as there is no one else there the person who is serving also talked extra money for serving the plates and bringing good to the table. The owner is quite irritating . As while the BF time is till 10.00am , he used to call me and if unavaible he would then call my husband from 9.00. We stayed there from 29th july to 2nd aug and while last 2 days there was only one helping hand person for them(might be) , ( as told by him), and we were only guests there. For 2 days we faced so problems, even while talking them to give water or plates we used to text him in watsaap. The owner seems to have ego issues as he was from military. Even on the first day when we reached there in the homestay after 18hrs journey, the first thing he asked was TO PAY THE FULL AMOUNT. BUT WE DENIED AND PAID HALF. There was not even a bell or intercome to call anyone and ask for plates or water . Even no one came to do the room clean or bedding for 5days. SINCE 1ST AUG HE STARTED ASKING ABOUT THE MONEY. In true words he irritated us.

The location and rooms were amazing and extremely comfortable. Our host was also very hospitable and took time out to talk about the history of the place.

There were too many steep stairs to climb after a long a day of traveling around the city. The entrance to the property could be improved.
