FishCove: time to relive and revive the magic of Taj

The team was helpful and provided a ground floor room for my mom who is a senior citizen. The beds were first class!. Mr Rejol and team assisted my booking issue promptly. The buggy drivers were polite and most helpful. Efficient check in and check out process. Liked the surprise pic and gift. Shout out to Kamesh, Ravi, Dev, Lily, Kine, Gulshan,Sneha Shashi..Thank you all so much!

I visited this facility for a conference maybe 7-8 years ago.Its general upkeep now was surprising and needs improvement to keep the flag of Taj flying high. Request to enhance facilities for elderly/ those with disability on the beach at least for seating. Early night was disturbed as we could hear the neighbours well as they opened their own doors, their call bells rang and families spoke aloud. There is a group of fairly new staff it seems, particularly in the restaurants evidenced by table laying and also the cleanliness of cushions, cutlery. Clogged drains and cranky locks were addressed by an apologetic young team which made us empathetic towards them. Seems like the resort had a bad hangover after the parties of the season with a tired bunch of workers. Food was tasty though and staff were so helpful...very Taj!. It will be good if the staff are cheery, motivated and genuinely smile more, in addition to being super helpful as they are (check out Disney). Will be back again!. Thanks Fishcove team, as Mom and I enjoyed our outing in spite of minor issues. It's a blessing to enjoy these privileges. Thank you!

Location, right on the beach... Quick service at check in and check out.. quality and comfort of the room and size..

Property a little run down.. showers were not working properly at the pool change area, pool tiles worn down, surafce dusty and rough... poor attention to detail at the costly new year dinner..

The pool was great, breakfast was good too- plenty of options if you are traveling with toddlers ( as we were).

Crowd management at the beach could have been better because at one point it was just too many people (many of whom weren't hotel guests)

Its a nice old property very well maintained. Staffs are phenomenal, I wonder how every staff gets such high hospitality and caring mindset. Beach and food was also great. Very good holiday destination for family

Peaceful beach resort, not a busy beach which makes it enjoyable! Property is beautiful with the plants and really relaxing. Rooms are comfortable. Loved the outside shower in cottage! Absolutely loved the afternoon beach activities to have something for everyone (volleyball, swing ball, frisbee, kite, cricket soccer etc). Thats really a nice time to spend together on the beach. The food is very good. We had curries, buffet, pasta, seafood and all across the board it was good. Satya is THE BEST waiter at Taj. He and Sivakumar are the only good waiters we had in Seagull restaurant.

The service has really dropped. Making use of 1 day staff or contractors is not working at the moment. The ladies are terrible waitresses. The other staff at the restaurant have no idea how to serve people in a restaurant - how frequently to come or follow up on orders or see if the guests are fine. Managers walk the floor and I have 6 business cards from everyone saying we must just call if we need anything but the waitron services in the restaurant is poor - and that talks to quality of management, not the waiters. We had a few issues in the room : phone not working, lights not switching off properly due to a door that cant close - really talking to maintenance of the units. Dog poo on the walkways and not promptly cleaned. Swimming pool tiles are peeling inside the pool, scratching ones feet when you stand in it. Very slow service at the pool. Outdoor shower not cleaned as well as it should for a 5 star Taj. The chef at Bay View completely overcooked the lobster. The fish curry at Seagull was overcooked too. They wont let you pay for it but think management should get it right first time and not just give away freebies. The experience is then already spoiled. Its not about the money, but about the experience.
