Our room was spacious, clean and had excellant shower/wash facilities. Our hosts had also provided additional 'treats' and bathroom accessories - all complimentary and very thoughtful. If we needed any additional items, our hosts provided them without question and this just added further to the warm and welcoming reception we enjoyed throughout our stay. Breakfast was served on the Terrace which provided incredible views of the Maharangah Fort. We were also offered Indian and or Continental options each morning and the Indian options were delicious. Akash is a very thoughtful and kind host who also has lots of great local knowledge which is so helpful for guests navigating their way round Jodhpur, especially if it is their first time,

We arrived in Jodhpur after a very long train journey and it was dark (Mid Evening) so the initial journey from the Station to Suraj Havelli via Tuk Tuk was quite an experience. For new travellers to the City of Jodhpur be prepared for lots of vibrant noise. When we arrived close to our Homestay we realised that it was located within the very narrow, twisty cobbled lanes so it makes wheeling of cases a little tricky. In addition there are a lot of dogs which in turn led to quite a lot of 'avoidance' moments to ensure you didn't a) step in any mess or b) have your suitcase wheels go throught it. However, when we arrived at Surej Havelli we were so warmly greeted and welcomed not just by our immediate hosts but also from their family members too, which was fabulous and sincerely given to us and from what we could see, to all who were staying at Suraj. Whilst we loved our stay in this incredible City, we couldn't help but be disheartened by how very dirty it was especially as the City offers so much incredible architecture and splendid, sophisticated beauty. As stated earlier, Jodhpur is a loud, full on vibrant City and offers travellers many magical moments along with great restaurants serving delicious veg and non veg food choices but when walking around, be prepared for those many necessary 'avoidance' moments and seeing a fair few variations of animals, all sizes roaming freely.

Beautiful Homestay to explore Jodhpur.

What a wonderful stay! Being welcomed so genuinely into such a sweet multigenerational family home was such a joy. They looked after us so nicely including an incredible home cooked dinner, getting us an ice pack when my friend hurt her ankle and organising a rickshaw for the day and a car to Jaisalmer. The rooftop view is beautiful. Our beds were comfy and everything was clean.

WiFi could have been stronger.

Perfect little haveli

- staff were so friendly and helpful, suggesting itinerary for our day and being flexible with checkout - room was large and clean - bed was super comfy - location is perfect for exploring - Nice hot shower

- no curtains so room was a bit light in the morning (but still very private, cannot see through the glass)

The Haveli is locally owned, run and passed down through the generations of this beautiful family. They take great care

Our room was modern and comfortable. You have everything you need to feel at home. The property is set back a short way from the busy streets so you have peace and quiet, but its also just a 3 min stroll to the markets and centre of things.

There was nothing that we didnt like about the property.

Recomended accokodation in the blue city, close to the old fort.

The property is a homestay and the rooms are nicely decorated. It is a traditional house overlooking the fort with a nice view from tbe roof top.

Great welcoming and attention for the customers. The family who owns the place is really nice and kind! Its been our first night in India and we couldnt ask for more
