We stayed at the Sudima at the beginning of our stay in Christchurch and then again at the end of our holiday and I was so happy to return. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was so comfortable. I could not fault a thing. The kitchenette was very well equipped and the staff were more than happy to supply us with a toaster, plus some cooking utensils. It is nice and central and about a 10-15 minute easy walk to the riverside restaurants and centre of the city. Parking is available on site if you require (at approximately $30 per day) or you can park in the street. You will need to pre-book valet parking if required. There is also a guest laundry on the 4th floor which is always a great bonus while travelling. Great place to stay.

Good stay

This was a great stay. Check-in was quick and easy, and staff were very helpful and friendly. The accommodation itself was very nice and had everything we needed - even a yoga mat and hair straightener! I liked the added touch of a throw blanket for the couch. The location was great for us, as we didn't want to be directly in the city but close enough to walk to the city. The bathroom was great with a sensor lighting underneath the floating shelf (make sure you close the door at night otherwise the sensor light will come on while rolling over in bed).

The walls must be very thin which I didn't like. While sitting in the main room, we could hear the people next door talking (we couldn't understand what they were saying). In the bedroom the walls felt even thinner as I could I hear the person next door snoring!

Cute modern hotel

Our room was a suite at the front of the hotel and was HUGE! And we had an enormous balcony. Loved the room, kitchenette and bathroom. Very modern amenities, Amazon Echo in every room, and we had a washer/dryer which really helped while traveling with a family. Also loved the proximity to Hagley Park.

The beds are the worst beds known to mankind. Like sleeping on concrete with sheets over it. Total bummer considering how great everything else was.

Clean and modern hotel in a somewhat quiet and non-commercial part of Christchurch.

Hotel was very modern and clean.

It wasnt near any restaurants or cafes. And the services werent on site (I.e. gym was just n a different building across the road).

Very good

The hotel was clean, modern, quiet and the staff were friendly. It was a little further from town centre than we realised - thankfully it was sunny and we could walk, would have been a challenge for us if it rained as we didnt want to taxi and uber.

We tried to take the bus which is right outside and that was fairly efficient but hard to know where it would take us not being local its always a challenge with buses !
