Starhotels Business Palace

Rooms either looking inside the court - very loud as many people smoke during night and early morning and have loud conversations which hall throughout the courtyard. Also, classified as non-smoking room, it defies the purpose if you open the window into the courtyard where all the smokers smoke and the smoke comes in from the window... Breakfast was a disaster, very dull room in the basement (ok, you can't change the location, but it is not a very cozy/welcoming/relaxed atmosphere, especially not when the hotel is full of cruise-ship transfer passengers that occupy the whole breakfast room... When I arrived, they told me that the restaurant (which is more an extension of the bar area...?) was closed for lunch and only opens in the evening again, which is ok, but what they did not tell me is that I can order food from/at the bar which is still open ... or maybe even the bar food is only available in the evening and no food available to order during the day... which is a bit inconvenient, but luckily there is a fantastic small restaurant around the corner that serves lunch, for much less, so I was happy to go there and spend my money over there - chance lost for the hotel... I one day ordered a lasagna from the hotel bar (as the restaurant was not open yet...) and because the restaurant is not a restaurant, but an extension of the entrance lounge and bar area, it is not a comfortable/relaxed atmosphere (like for breakfast) to eat, very noisy (and I am ok with people sitting at the bar, having drinks and talking loud, as this is what a bar is for, but it is not acceptable if you are tired and hungry and want to enjoy your dinner in peace) I ate it in my room. The taste of the lasagna was mediocre and did not thrill me at all... but I was hungry so I ate and did not complain. If it wasn't for the location and the 2 restaurants round the corner, I would not consider coming again.
