Pleasant hotel not far from Gambir station

Nice and clean hotel. The gave us a room in the last floor and we appreciated the big window. Comfortable mattress. At the reception they are very kind and helpful. We also liked breakfast: a lot a choices also for western like us.

Second time staying here and just as great as I remember

I initially stayed here upon first arriving in Jakarta at the beginning of my trip to Indonesia in mid-October, and my friend and I had such a great experience staying here that we decided to return for our last night in Jakarta before heading home at the end of our trip. As I mentioned in my first review of the hotel, the rooms are very clean and comfortable and both rooms we stayed in were just the right size for us (two travelers). The breakfast is great and the location can't be beat (central, safe, convenient for travelers). Moreover, the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I felt that they always went above and beyond to accommodate us, whether by booking taxis for us or stowing our luggage after checkout and ahead of our flight. I would definitely stay here again if I were to return to Jakarta!

An exceptional stay

I stayed at the Stanley Boutique Hotel upon first arriving in Jakarta (also my first time in Indonesia), and the experience was excellent! I was initially nervous about how I would reach the hotel from the airport, but the staff were incredibly helpful with arranging a taxi for me through the Golden Bird (part of Bluebird) service. My room was very nice: very clean, it had an excellent bathroom, strong AC, and it was very chic too. The breakfast as well was great and it came included with our room. Another important point: the location was perfect. The hotel is very centrally located, so you're near many shops, restaurants, and sites for sightseeing, and it's very safe. Plus, there are also taxis circling through the area, so it's incredibly easy to flag one down if you're trying to get somewhere farther away, or ask one of the hotel staff for help, they can also flag down a taxi with ease. My friend and I had such a great experience staying here that we decided to return for our last night in Jakarta before heading home at the end of our trip.

The hotel is located in a nice area of Jakarta very close to restaurants, shops and street food stalls.

Unfortunately, most rooms in this hotel do not have a window and this was not specified in the description. If I had known it before, I wouldn't have booked. I think this should be clearly specified and mentioned also in the description provided by Booking.com. Apart from this, rooms and common spaces are clean.
