More than a hundred year old Sourenee Tea Estate is a boutique hotel in Mirik sprawling over 137ha including 99.5ha tea plantation from where nearly 65,000kgs Darjeeling Tea is produced. This three-storied 5-star heritage hotel at 4500ft altitude has eight double bedrooms, family suite and Junior Suite overlooking the majestic Kanchendzonga. Apart from on-site fitness center, you can trek through seven trails, go fishing, sightseeing, boating and horse-riding.

Overpriced and lacking in style.

the staff were friendly, albeit the typical Indian level of slow service. Happy to accommodate dietary requests. the walk around the gardens was the major saviour of this place.

Overpriced for what it is - the building and interiors are in desperate need of refurbishment. Black mould in the bathroom. Really should only be about 7k a night. Authentic cuisine missing - only desi or south indian food.
