Bad choice!

The ground floor and reception have been modernized and look quite good. Quite friendly staff. Many beautiful things to see in atound the hotel area, but extra crowded.

Bad choice! As soon as you get off the elevator, on the corridor to the room, you are met by a bad smell of old, damp carpet... the same smell in the room. The room is clean, the bed is very comfortable but the hall to the bathroom and room is very narrow, o 2 people can't pass. The toilet is very small, when you seat you can hit your head in the door. The bathroom shampoos stuck to the wall in a kind of box and very uncomfortable to use. Who comes to Dubai to steal tge shanpoo?? Lack of toothbrushes, toothpaste and a blader. The only nice thing in the room was the idea with the shutters/windows from the bathroom window to the room. Very simple breakfast, no variety, every day the same few dishes. It is Dubai, you expect everything to be superlative! I made another mistake of booking New Year's Eve at the hotel (because I had read before that after 12 at night it would be very difficult to find transport) and honestly, it wasn't worth even 50%. The fireworks were almost imperceptible, compared to what happens all over the world, especially in Dubai!!!! Everything very simple, nothing spectacular!!! A lot of money for nothing!!! Too bad, compared to other Sofitel hotels, this one was the worst! In no case is it a 5-star hotel, maximum 4 and for Dubai maximum 3!!! I'm very dissapointed and I'm sorry that I canceled another hotel to choose this one! It stole part of my joy and fine living in Dubai, where everything is superlative!!!

Really enjoyable, very family friendly and brilliant staff.

The staff were so friendly and so helpful, they were always available to assist with our needs and they were so nice to our little boy. The location is great located at JBR it is close to the beach, lots of restaurants and walking distance to Dubai Marina and Bluewaters which has more restaurants. The infinity pool is lovely over looking the beach.

The rooms were on the small side and not very luxurious for a 5 star hotel. As you spend most of your time out and about in Dubai, this isnt really a problem as the beds are very comfortable.

Its a small issue but uncomfortable. I forgot my charger & they dont provide any chargers..I had to go to the reception , keep it there & then go back & get it during mid night.. in other hotels , they would provide a charger
