Pleasant

Enjoyed a delightful stay at Silvershine! The host was very accommodating and easy to converse with. The food was excellently prepared, with the pakodas standing out as truly exceptional. Additionally, the host assisted us in arranging a memorable bonfire during the night. Overall, our weekend in Chikmagalur was thoroughly enjoyable.

Rude owner, place is not pet friendly

Spacious property but poorly maintained. Food was ok.

The owner, Nithin Gowda, is extremely rude and misbehaved with us. He used foul language and was very disrespectful towards our female friend while talking. Despite claiming to be a pet friendly resort, he suddenly wanted us to tie our dog, who is very friendly by the way, just because he rented out the adjacent room to people who are scared of dogs. This wasn't communicated to us prior and when we tried talking to him he used filthy words and went to the extent of saying that he can kick us out if he wants. For giving food for pet also he behaved as if he is doing a favour. This is despite we paying seperately for it and he having agreed before we went there. Take your pets there only if u keep your pets tied up in cages. They say pet can roam around freely but due to their hens and ducks roaming around plus them giving out rooms at same time to people who r scared of pets doesn't make it a pet friendly place at all. He even misinterpreted our request to work out a solution and yelled at us saying we should have some sense. Would not recommend this place to any family that really loves their pet. Also they claim to give nonveg but if there is any festival, they will change their menu without prior intimation. If u request for it they do get from outside but Nithin kept telling that we are demanding. They also asked us to not allow dog on the bed coz otherwise they will have to change the sheets and won't be able to use it for next guests .. that's means they don't give fresh laundry everytime. Nithin's brother was approachable and wasn't rude but he also couldn't stop Nithin from misbehaving with us. Worst experience ever.
