love the venue / rooms are basic but very comfortable / clean

Location and security is 100%. I usually stay here for shopping trips when i travel solo and i always feel very safe because of the location and friendly staff in the lobby. there's a great vibe at the hotel, relaxed / modern / clean. this time i travelled with my kids and they loved it because they were right at nelson Mandela Square and literally 10 footsteps away from the mall.

TV channels are extremely limited. there is only one movie channel and a handful of sports and SA soap opera channels. would love to see at least one more movie channel service in the breakfast caf was very slow and inconsistent which is a shame because the breakfast selection is really nice. Both hot and cold options including the pastries and fresh fruit, but it should get replenished for the duration of the breakfast service times. some visits ive stayed and found they set up a tea/coffee buffet which works great. other times ive stayed, you order your tea and it can take up to 10 minutes. breakfast is from 6:30- 10am, but if you go after 8:30, i found they never replenished the cold / buffet items. they would just tell you they were finished for the day. i don't think this is a good response to have at a hotel. the juice dispenser was also never replenished. I also kept getting reminded that my room did not include breakfast and I would have to pay - which i was fine with, but didn't enjoy the constant reminders.

Constantly hearing water flowing from the pipes from other rooms. If that sound could be blocked out then it would be better. As well as in the bathroom sometimes there would be odors from the sewage lines

Disappointing

my stay was unpleasant.

The rooms are not soundproof, worst of all I was woken by a strange man aggressively knocking at my door around 02:00 am and this happened repeatedly way into 03:00; despite reporting this, I never got informed as to what was happening.
