Good

The restaurant was fairly nice. Generally the hotel was decent value for money. I felt safe.

The bathroom was a bit uncomfortable with shower curtains that need an upgrade. TV didnt work.

Room too small, we had to hustle them to even give us a fridge . At some point they even repeated towels and they do not offer room service

Very good

Central location with great breakfast

Nice room, clean with comfortable bed. Friendly staff, buffet breakfast had an extensive range of offerings & hotel wi-fi was good. Central location to city centre.

Had to wait a little bit to check-in but was fine to use the hotel facilities during this time

Staff are extremely rude. Service is verrrry poor. They give you a towel per room No mini fridge No telephone And if you ask for another towel it might take up to 3 hours. Honestly worst experience ever. And the house keeping forgot their cleaning equipments in my room and it was VERY filthy

Hygiene,our room wasn't cleaned when we made an enquiry we were told that they prioritise new occupants over old ones,looks like the cleaning staff is under staffed,the hotel also smells dusty,breakfast wasn't appealing,tea was cold,our stay wasn't a memorable one,there were no telephone lines,the rooms are so small,no proper wardrobe,the pressing iron we got was burnt

Would not return.

The room was clean and the manager was helpful. The WiFi also always worked and the aircon was good. Our room was neat every day when we returned to it, with fresh towels and linen etc.

The parking was a nightmare, we paid for three nights parking outside the hotel (as recommended by the hotel), however, the owner of the parking lot sold parking spaces to too many people and we had to park elsewhere in the city and take an Uber to the hotel. When speaking to the owner of the parking lot he merely stated that its high season, this can happen while the staff said he does this regularly (but they didnt warn us beforehand). Many other customers had to do the same. The elevator is also extremely slow and you could wait 10-12 min to get down from the top floors. The location also isnt great, there are a lot of homeless people sleeping on the benches right outside the entrance to the hotel and its not a walkable area.

Disappointing

2-star Motel at best with a lot of uphill struggles

- One of the staff members (Chanelle) was quite helpful in terms of making a change from a double bed to a twin bed to accommodate my friend. - some of the bartenders were friendly & interactive - hotel is centrally located & getting an Uber to various parts of CPT was fairly easy

- WiFi doesnt reach the 10th floor and therefore our room had ZERO wifi throughout the stay - the toiletries provided are of poor quality - the soaps, shampoos etc all smelt like sewage water - I was charged R20 for a toothbrush. - two lifts in the entire property and the etiquette of CPT visitors in December is horrible, therefore, youre left with one lift which stops on every floor and one which is barely functional and smells like weed. - hospitality staff didnt clean the room on the second night - reception staff insisted that we had a do not disturb tag on the door but we didnt even know a tag existed. - breakfast is good on certain days & horrible on other days; staff unable to cope with rush and often there were no coffee cups next to the machine or cutlery on the table
