Severely overpriced accommodation with stunning views from communal areas only.

Bookings.com helped us find an alternative accommodation (after our previously booked accommodation fell through) so last minute we were extremely grateful. However, this lodge charged a sum total of R25980 for 4 adults for 1 night. It is wor to mentioning that this was for a booking on 31 December 2023 (NYE) and we understand that prices are hiked as a result. Although, we are being reimbursed by Bookings.com for the additional amount incurred, we still feel it is only right to let the company know that this property is grossly overpriced and delivering below standard accommodation for the price point charged. Summary of the only things we truly can say that we did like: - Security - Comfortable and clean beds - Blockout curtains - Stunning view from reception and bar below reception - Two really helpful ladies worked at reception so our experience with reception staff was only positive

We were booked in the superior deluxe rooms which are positioned on the bottom floor level where the kitchen is as well. - No view - Noise from kitchen heard through the walls of the room - Stuffy and hot (no running air-con or proper ventilation in the lounge area of this floor) - Bathrooms smelled of human waste and there is no proper privacy provided. Extremely small. - Aircon in room was leaking water down the wall onto the carpet and made a puddle - Mold in air-con - No service when stepping into the communal dining area. Had to go to reception to ask for service. - Only one bedside table on one side of the bed - Malfunctioned kettle in room - Bathroom piping was unrefined and looked like an unfinished job However, as mentioned before, we are extremely grateful for the service provided by Bookings.com when our previous booking fell through (for reasons beyond their control). This is by no means a bad reflection on the Bookings.com customer service, but a review on the value for money of the property based on a R12 990 per room for the night.

Superb

It was fantastic, they just need a better solution for parking.

The eco-therm shower/basin was a bit confusing, but at the same time we understand because we are trying to find more sustainable energy solutions as a country and the world as a whole.

Good

Awesome stay. Toilet was leaking water from against the walll. No extra Towels were offered.

I like the comfort of the bed and pillows they were realy comfortable. I actually wanted to ask the name of the beds and pillows used.

I didnt like the Parking structure. And the road leading up to the Hotel had alot of potholes in it and No Safety Barrier so that cars dont drive off the cliff. Maybe something to complain about ?

the building is positioned in a special location up to the city. where you can have best view.

stuff was discriminating my partner because black. a slim white lady approached her and considered her a theft because she went to toilet before paying the breakfast's bill. after she got apology but I'm very tired of discrimination in Cape Town towards non-white people. I been to this structure a couple of times. I won't come back again.
