Room was fine and clean. Staff was nice and helped me with booking the train ticket to Delhi at the last moment, after my flight was cancelled. Good restaurant.

Noise from the neighbor (outside of the hotel) during the whole night. It's not the hotel's fault, but it's still the issue.

Good location, parking, nice restaurant.

The best part is the location - it right in the heart of Gowdhulia from where the Bishwanath Temple, the Dashashwemedh Ghat, the lanes of Bengali tola was loitering distance away. Plus good food in the restaurant.

It's difficult to find a hotel with parking in area. So, one with parking was an important selection criteria for me. However, getting in and out is a challenge through long narrow entryway.

Excellent location, near enough to walk to the ghat but yet an oasis from the noisy streets.

The hotel's location is excellent! It is around 10-15 minute walk along a main road to the ghat which means it's easy enough to take early 6am walks to the ghat and evening walks back after the main Aarti ceremony on the ghat. There is a small street that leads off the main road, which means the entrance is not along the main road and hence the hotel is not too noisy. However, since it's Varanasi, there will always be sounds of honking but the room is quite well insulated, so the noise is not too loud. It's always a calm oasis to step into the side street, walking back from the ghat. The receptionist, Anjali, is a friendly and super helpful lady who was very good with providing me with the information I needed. As I was travelling as a solo female, Anjali also made sure to keep in touch with me when I was travelling by vehicle by myself. She is a gem! And a big reason why my stay was enjoyable as well. The room is cosy with all the necessary amenities and the hot water supply is quick and with good pressure. It is indeed a wonderful to return to the hotel after a long day along the bustling and dusty streets.

The hotel restaurant looked a bit sad without a view but that was not really a deal breaker. The hotel room was a tad expensive compared to a lot more other hotels nearby but after staying I didn't have any regrets.

Excellent place to stay in the heart of the city

When I booked this hotel for my stay in Varanasi, my family was a bit skeptical. It was located right in the crowded city center and they wondered how could one have any space to create a hotel there. But it turned out to be a small oasis in the mountains and seas of people. The entrance is through a lane so it can be missed but cars do go inside so you don't have to carry your luggage and walk. The staff is very hospitable and caring. They are willing to provide any support possible to make the stay good. Specially Sohail, Anjali, Navneet.The location was just right, it was 20 minutes walk from Dashashwamedh Ghat and 2 minutes of walk from Kashi and Deena chaat bhandar. I could practically commute all over the city there on a Toto( tuktuk). The room was clean and serviced everyday. We had a family room which was very spacious with two king sized beds. It's a house converted to a hotel so not too fancy but very comfortable for a family to stay. A cozy courtyard was the optimal place to catch up with friends or eat something if one didn't want to go to the restaurant. The restaurant 1916 has a great variety of food, freshly made and served. We had a lot of dishes there and were never disappointed. Everything tasted great. Breakfast was sometimes buffet and sometime ala carte but even for buffet we were served hot food. If you want to experience the real Banaras, this is the best place to stay.

Location is prime and so is staff. It is exceptional to stay here while you are visiting Kashi Vishwanath temple and Dashashwamedh ghat. lots of option for shopping as well. staff is too couteous and well mannered.

a really nice stay, good hospitality from the hotel, excellent behaviour from hotel staff

The staff and their hospitality..they were very helpful and polite. They contacted us in the advance to confirm the arrival time and guide on the route. They also aligned the security guard to guide/help us as needed. The security guard of the hotel was very helpful, he picked up our luggage and took us to the hotel main building and also not only helped with getting a vehicle for the train station but also dropped us to the vehicle. A really nice and helpful guy. The staff overall were very helpful and knew jow to provide the best customer experience.
